Is that wrong?

Mahomes is one of the most fun players in the league to watch. You almost have to love that guy as a general fan of the game. It's cool that he and Allen have so much respect for each other and have said they're friends off the field.  I also have always liked Reid, and he really paid his dues in Philly all those years.

I also see their market & history has similar to Buffalo.  Not an NFL darling, passionate & crazy fanbase.  Came up short for decades before finally having a team that can deliver.  And Patriots fans hate KC, so that has to count for something.

I find it strange that I don't hate them, because I usually hate any team that ends my team's season even once, and they've done it twice now.

Anyone else feel that way?  I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of vomit reactions, but I was curious.

I speak for most KC fans...we dont' hate you either.  We like watching Allen and the Bills play football, but more than that -

We are both small markets, both original AFL markets.  Got very passionate fan bases that know what it's like to go a long time without winning...both have some really painful memories of not getting there, not getting it done.

We are kind of intertwined by the trade that got us Mahomes.....and to a lesser extent, that led you to Allen.  It was the rare  WIN / WIN trade for all of us.

We watched that game in the playoffs last year and ALL OF US...every KC fan was resigned to accepting a loss in that game and NONE of us felt bad about it...we thought we'd witnessed greatness even before the 13 seconds.

If it can't be us, we want it to be you guys.

As a diehard Mets and Bills fan I’m torn. 2015 was rugged. Royals were clearly and by far and away the better team than the Mets so. I animosity there. But this new found rivalry is fun and I’ll take that any day of the week over the ***** drought era ass kickings I endured then.

I used to feel that way about Steelers fans, but these idiots take the cake...they seem to have a total lack of football knowledge...they boo every call that doesn't go their way, even when the replay shows it to be an obvious penalty.

Not to mention the racist native american chants and costumes they wear.

I just dont get their "logic"...  The Bills beat them in the regular season last year but lost the playoffs.. and so the same thing will happen this year.. supposedly.?

WTF?

Dumb to rely on that .. The Bills should have beat them 3 times in a row now if not for a 1 in a 100 fluke... on their home patch..

Today the Bills  also had terrible calls against them , in particular that tripping call that wasnt called...

It still doesnt mean the Bills will win the next game... but you think they would be a little humble.... but no.. they are not worried and they will win the next time regardless of where the game is played...

***** the Chiefs, their idiotic fans, Kelce and especially that big schnozzed prick Nick Wright. Stealing all the free air he can with that vacuum for a nose. That guy makes the whole city/franchise so easily hateable.

Wait, you've actually been there and talked to them?

Well that's no fun!  It's so much easier to judge with blind ignorance!

I was leading the shout song all day! KC was great hosts … I got free BBQ at the tailgate… bills fans from all over… taps on Main Street in KC… pinto Ron… glad I left my humble Abode in 716

Yes.  They will be our bitter rival for at least the next decade.  I hate Mahomes.  I hate Kelce.  I hate Reid.  I hate the Chiefs.  🤣

My hate for them is now stronger than ever…and it feels good to be happy about the outcome, and hate them simultaneously. 😈

I dont hate your typical fan base or your team.  Your forums are toxic AF though.  Even between your own fan base there are people telling someone to go kill themselves.

One poster on Chiefs Planet was saying how he “wishes that thug Von Miller would die.” I mean that’s not even funny in a joking sense. Not to mention all the rape references they have over there. If we had those types of posters here I’d expect them to get banned.

I know.  Their board is disgusting.  Makes me appreciate the moderation and the well run board here.  As well as the fans that post here that dont act scumbag like that.

I'm afraid many of the posters in this thread are judging the Chiefs fanbase primarily off of that message board. That's so obviously misguided, yet here we are as message board contributors, over-valuing this online space.

In real life, from what I've heard from so many, and from a few in this thread, is that the Chiefs fanbase is generally VERY respectful to visiting fans. This is NOT the case everywhere in the NFL (including Buffalo at times, although I'd argue we've handled recent success reasonably well in this regard).

Social media forums are so easily sullied by a toxic minority of contributors.

This is why vigilant moderation is so essential to healthy discourse. Makes me appreciate the work of those who help to keep this forum a respectful and rewarding space for sharing.

I'll hate em until I don't have to anymore.  And that'll be when we get our superbowl victory.

Only then will KC, NE, and Dallas not matter to me anymore.

At least for a little while.

I like them for the most part.  Now some of their fans (like Bills fans) can get annoying, which happens when the games seem to all be played in KC.

I like Mahomes, indifferent to Kelce, like Reid too.

Hope for a sustained Mahomes/Allen rivalry, which could be fun.

They're certainly a rival now and therefore, there are certain things I despise about the Chiefs:

  1. That Captain Kangaroo-looking coach of theirs...now he's in another annoying State Farm commercial.
  2. That stupid wolf or coyote who's always under the goal posts...I do like it when he bangs his head on the upright though, which means we've scored.
  3. Kelce
  4. They beat the Bills to go to SB I.  Back in my misguided youth, I was a Raiders fan, and they beat the Raiders for the 1969 AFL championship.

I'll think of more as the day goes on.

You have to wonder how many band wagon jumpers there board has attracted, and how many of them are driving the more distasteful discourse.

Perhaps, but look at this board. It’s not like that and I’m sure the Bills have had many band wagon jumpers in the last couple of years. The mods here do a fabulous job and I think that’s part of what’s missing on their board, lack of leadership setting the tone, causing the place to spiral out of control.
