Virgil Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 (edited) I remember when our quarterback didn't know how to throw guys open or would check down all game long.... I remember when our offensive line couldn't protect our QB for more than 2 seconds.... I remember when we were trying to find a burner so we could take a deep shot maybe once a game... I remember when we couldn't get pressure with our front 4... I remember when big named FA's didn't want to come to Buffalo.... I remember when we looked ahead at our schedule and hoped to get over .500... I remember when no one picked us to win anything... I remember when the Wild Card was our wildest dream... I remember looking at other team's quarterbacks and hoping for a fraction of their production... I remember when the Division was a pipe dream... I remember when we drafted in the top 10 and hoped that half of our picks would pan out... I remember when our Punter was our best player... I remember when we couldn't get a Prime Time game... I remember when no one picked us to win... I remember when Billy Joe Hobert played quarterback for us and didn't know the playbook... I remember when we couldn't hold onto a coach for more than 3 years... I remember when we started 5-2 multiple times and didn't make the playoffs... I remember when 7-9 was our defining point for a good season... Edited October 10, 2022 by Virgil 3 3 17 6 Quote
Aussie Joe Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 I remember when I hoped my team would win rather than expect them to win. I remember when we never drafted a guy that they signed to a second contract I remember when winning the championship was about as likely as winning Lotto I remember when we had a lot of terrible QB's 2 Quote
MiltonWaddams Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 I remember all those things. But damn I try so freaking hard not to! Quote

mushypeaches Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 And every single frigging reason that the OP mentioned in this thread is why we should be enjoying what we have right now to the absolute fullest Stop nitpicking and complaining about every little thing that could or does go wrong in a game Get out to the stadium to see the team play (if you can) This season could be special and it's finally ours 4 2 4 Quote
TheCockSportif Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Remember when the team went 2-14 twice? Remember the 1987 strike game(s)? God, this team. But, yeah. I dig the spirit of what you wrote, and I agree. 1 Quote
Bills2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 I remember the 0-8 start to the 2010 season. I was still pretty young, but that was rock bottom for me I remember starting Jeff Tuel at QB. I remember Doug Whaley as our GM. Quote

Steptide Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Watching the bills these last 3 seasons, I really have no idea how we lived through the drought. I mean, I think we kinda lived off of always getting a new coach/qb and just hoping they were the ones. There were no doubt exciting moments in those years, but man there was SO MUCH garbage in those years. So thankful for this current bills team 5 Quote
