The winner will have a 2 game lead over the other. It is nearly impossible to make up two games on either team. These teams are miles ahead of everyone else. Ergo, injuries must have meant nothing in the Bills' loss to Miami a few weeks ago. If injuries meant nothing, then either, the heat an humidity was enough to cause the Bills' loss or Miami is a better team. I'm not buying it. Quote

Dane Jackson can not play press man. Tre White can play press man, he is not gonna play. Elam may be able to play press man against KC eventually. He was drafted to provide that ability with the hope he could develop into a quality off ball corner. But right now, if you put Elam alone on Kelce I think Kelce will shake him off like your pesky 7 year old sister. Possibly Elam on Kelce and hopefully Jordan Poyer helps him out if he plays. Really want Poyer in this game badly if healthy. Edited October 13, 2022 by Buffalo Bills Fan Quote

buffblue Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 No Poyer or Edmunds for the 2nd consecutive day today. We really need one or both against the Chiefs. Poyer especially needs to be out there with a bye upcoming and the schedule lightening in the 2nd half. This is not the game to be conservative with relatively minor injuries 1 Quote

Mahomes was more polished and sat an entire season. He has had incredible weapons since day one, and perhaps the most innovative offensive minded coach we’ve seen. Not taking anything away from Mahomes, but you must be kidding to call it ‘varying degrees of talent around him.’ Allen was widely regarded as project QB. He shouldn’t have seen the field in year one, yet he did. And for his first couple seasons, he had trash for talent around him. While the Bills have boosted their talent around Allen, they still have some significant flaws… yet Allen is the one that seems to put the team on his back despite it all. If the Bills lose on Sunday, it’s one loss, they’ll be fine, and it means nothing more than what the media will hype it up to be. There will be 2/3 of the season remaining after this game. Literally anything can happen. The Chiefs lost to us last season early. How did that play out for them afterward? Gotta keep things in perspective. I'm not disputing what Mahomes walked into vs Allen, my point is that he's been great from day one and the only reason he didn't start out of the gate as a rookie is because Alex Smith had a ridiculously good season and best of his career in 2017. Mahomes has also been to 4 straight AFC Championships, 2 SB's, and one championship. They certainly didn't have anything close to the Bills on defense the entire time he's been there. Also disagree about the magnitude of this game on Sunday, I do believe that if the Chiefs win they are well on thier way to a unprecedented 5th straight AFC championship game at home. Which means the chances of the Bills getting a SB decreases exponentially. If the Bills are going to change the course of history and whatever destiny lies ahead for Mahomes it starts this Sunday. They have to force this guy to at least play one road playoff game for the first time in his career. 1 Quote

Um, Nope. This has been discussed here multiple times. A number of Chiefs players have commented on this, how Mahomes was not ready at all as a rookie (though he showed flashes) and how he improved between Season 1 and Season 2. 13 minutes ago, FilthyBeast said: Mahomes has also been to 4 straight AFC Championships, 2 SB's, and one championship. During the 5 years Mahomes has played, they have had a top-10 defense every year but his first (and so far, this season). Part of that is when you're the #1 scoring offense (his 1st season and so far this season) and score quickly, the D has can go into prevent mode and give up "meaningless" points and there isn't a lot of pressure on them to choke down on every drive. But Spagnuolo knows something and the Chiefs do not neglect stocking their D personnel. Now, back to your regularly scheduled whatever-you-call-it. 7 minutes ago, ColoradoBills said: My guess it's two of the following. Neal J. I didn't think he was very fast but can't find a 40 time. Also if he's the starting safety, "do one thing well". Neal could be one of them. McKenzie says he's the fastest guy on the Bills team. A blowout loss at Arrowhead in the AFCCG is McD/Allen's career achievement, why haven't they been able to do what Mahomes and Reid have under similar circumstances? 1 Quote

Athletics all 22 breakdown said it stood out in film & showed Elam was not quick enough to change his direction & keep up on come back routes. KC is sure to pick up on this & while we played more man last week than we will against KC, Mahomes will be better than Pickett at exploiting Elam. He could be the Achilles heal for this game defensively. Good points D&D! See https://www.pff.com/news/week-5-man-and-zone-rates-week-6-predictions We played man 22% of time vs the Steelers and 23% vs Ravens. Against Rams and Dolphins, with scarier WR corps, we played man <10% of time. The attached says Chiefs face man D almost half the time. Can't see Bills doing this as the Bills only play man 14% of time on average. 1 Quote
