I really don't get the obsession with 1st rounders.  It's a different story if your team is rebuilding / needs a QB

But when you are in the state this team is.....pick #32 for an elite player is a strong move

This staff has been very good with their first round picks.  I’d like to keep that going instead of wasting it on an always injured running back.  Maybe it’s just me 🤷🏻‍♂️

If it involves a 1st round pick no thanks

If giving up that first round pick got us a Super Bowl win this year, would that change your mind?

If we traded for von and won the super last year nobody would’ve been complaining about the picks we gave up. If a reasonable deal can be made I don’t see the problem. We are within reach and can taste it. I’m not worrying about beane overpaying cause he’s not going to. I still wouldn’t do it with singletary involved though

I would trade Oliver, Edmunds, Rousseau, or Elam for CMC right now. player for player.

1st and a player is what I'm expecting the Bills to offer.

I'm also expecting that pick to be in the 30's.

No way I give up a first for him with his history of injuries. Granted he is a very good RB when healthy which isn't very often. Who knows if this happens but I am guessing Beane doesn't give up a first either.

I don’t have a crystal ball

I get that. But anyone saying they don't wanna give up a 1st has to look at the bigger picture. If it means we're holding up the Lombardi at the end of the season, then make that trade all day long

All accurate but I'm curious where he is getting such an exact figure of $4.8M. There is no guaranteed money, so it can be restructured to anything. Could be $3M if CMC would agree to it. There is no floor other than what CMC will agree to, as far as I know.

Turn $11 million of his $12 million salary into a bonus leaving him with a 1 mil base salary and the bonus prorates over the final 3 seasons at roughly 3.6ish million per season. So that year 1 cap hit is about 4.8. Raises his final 2 years but the Bills have alot cap flexibility (relatively) starting in 2024. Cap will also start to rise in 2025.

If I have time, I'll do a future cap post because there's a lot of doom and gloom going on about the cap and it's just not accurate. Some guys will have to be sacrificed but such is life in the NFL.

It's not just you.   And I think we need our draft picks from the first 3 rounds more than ever right now.

We could trade away the 2nd rounders. That seems to be where Beane misses on the most.

It's more like trading McKenzie, Epenesa, Moss, Singletary, and a late 1st or 2nd for CMC. Except they'll let you keep McKenzie, Epenesa, and Singletary for this season

I'm shocked that anyone would give up a first for an oft-injured, overpriced RUNNING BACK on the best passing team in the league.

Tre White for CMC is probably the most equitable trade.

All-pro for All-pro. Injury for Injury prone.

We have to see this trade from both sides.

Their fan base is saying anything less than a 1st + more is an insult.

Our fanbase want to give them mid rounders and backups.
