RiotAct
we’ll sign him and then right after inking his contract, he’ll present the new stadium renderings to everyone. 2 9
RyanC883
I would trade a 1st for him. It upgrades the RB room in a huge way, and he comes in under cap. 1st and Moss. The 1st is basically a 2nd. We can find a good OL in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. Bean does not waste picks in the late rounds, so losing a 1st is not the travesty it would be for most teams. With CMC this offense is ridiculous. He also may get injured less when he is not counted upon to be the main guy in an offense. 3 1 3 1
34-78-83
giving up a first for a 3 time injured rb?? Regardless of anyone's thoughts on this player's level of talent, you'll never see ANY team give up a 1st for him. Never. 2

Logic
Based on what I read from Greg Tompsett of Cover 1, which I linked above -- it would cost the Bills only $600,000 in 2022 money to bring McCaffrey in, and only $1m of his remaining salary is guaranteed -- I would be fully, completely, 100% on board with bringing him in. You either have him for 1 year for a Super Bowl push, or you re-structure and keep the Bills offense unstoppable for years. Remember, Devin Singletary is a free agent after this year. Moss is just a guy. McCaffrey is a game changer. 9

Chicken Boo
So nobody wants Barkely, the better RB, but fawn over CMC? Interesting. For the record, I'd be delighted with either and do not believe the Giants would part with Barkley. No one should be arguing against making this team better. 1

For a team like Carolina, they need all the draft capital they can get. If someone offers a 2nd they should take it. Esp. with Moss thrown in. Will CMC out way our bad run blocking. If the answer is yes then 100%. Yes. and TBH if the answer should be or maybe or it might then its a hard no. the One huge benefit that out ways ALL of this is Coopers practices to get better. He was rated the best route runner coming out in that draft…. Including receivers. Dude is a crazy YAC weapon who can be deployed so many ways.
WhitewalkerInPhilly
Look, this isn't a Big Name I Want kind of thing. I want him. Singletary is servicable. And that's the nicest thing I will say about our current RB group. Maybe that's all we need when you have an MVP quarterback. But CMC has the talent level like Shady who can make the most even with an ok O-line. We only need maybe 10-15 handoffs a game, let's make them quality ones. Next year is a problem cap-wise, but we weren't going to pay Singletary any real money and Moss is a liability. Who else do we have? I trust Beane to be able to work salary cap magic if he really wants to get this done. 2

Does he agree to redo the contract??? Doubt it. You put him in this O and we are unstoppable but I don’t see it happening and hope I’m wrong. Apparently it will only cost the Bills 600K this year and they are not on the hook for anything past that if he gets cut next year Edited October 10, 2022 by Big Turk
