I would do it for a 5th and McKenzie.  But then use him like a slot receiver/chess piece.  Do NOT slam him into the back of Bates and Stafford 15x/game.

i have been on the fence WRT McKenzie. I don't know what opportunity he adds to the Panthers to help a rebuild.

McKenzie by most measurables is a JAG. He has an X-factor that shows up from time to time like the Patriots game.

I would be willing to package McKenzie with a 5th for CMC.

First of all,  Carolina is probably already going to have the 32nd pick.   Them or the Lions.

Here is my offer........CMC and a 7th.......for a Bills 6th.

People thinking a rental running back will bring back anything close to a first round pick is just absurd.

Beane overdrafts RB's but he isn't that out of touch with the cost of doing business.

how do you avoid the vomit emoji's for saying essentially the same thing I'm saying? LOL

Some of these posters are desperate to give up our #1 pick!

Dobson is not going anywhere in a trade. not with milano's history of injury being a factor as well as just not happening.

Plus I don't see the Panthers looking for players in return for their fire sale. Imo, they'd be looking for picks to build on next year.

Clearly we're interested.  Way too much smoke.

How exactly are we fitting him in after this year?  He has multiple years left on his contract.

Can Carolina restructure and eat a bulk of it if we offer them a high enough draft pick?

Why? I don't see anything special anymore.

72 for 324 rushing for a 4.5 avg, 18 1D, 2 TD

26 for 188 receiving for a 7.2 avg, 6 1D, 1 TD

This dude with Josh Allen?  Fuhgeddabottit.

Folks, read the thread. The money "issue" has been addressed.

It can only happen if they do this, IMO.

Would your offer change if you suspected that Miami and or KC was also in the bidding?

Did CMC become an elite QB and I'm not aware? No? Then why the hell do I care of he goes to Miami?

GIT 'R' DUN!!!!!!!!!!!! CMC would make us unstoppable.

Why does he have to be called CMC?  Why don't people call him Christian McCaffrey?  They didn't call his dad EMC.  They called him Ed McCaffrey.

That said, Epenesa, Moss, Oliver, Singletary, and Siran Neal are players drafted by the Bills when Morgan was here.   Would you give up Oliver?

No.

It's a shortening of Run CMC, which was a take on Run DMC.

Yes and no.

We'd only owe him that if we kept him. None of that $11-12M is guaranteed. So the first approach is as a 1 year rental for $600k.

If we wanted to keep him beyond that, we could make an offer at a restructure to give him some guaranteed money, but much less than $12M/yr.

Point being, Beane has room to work his magic. And no one does it better.

OK, but my point is - it isn't a 1 year rental for $600k.  It's a 1 year rental for $600k plus whatever draft and player resources we send away to obtain him.

One POV is "it's worth it - whatever it takes - sell off what you need to sell to get that final piece".

I'm not sure that's Beane's POV (for better or worse).

Tepper is not your typical owner.  He is a Wall Street guy. I think he will want at least one proven asset in return for CMC.  I think Dodson and Singletary both are players that Morgan would recommend they could build around.  I think the Bills view Dodson as a tweener - not quick enough or instinctual enough to take Milano's role and not large enough or with enough lateral quickness to take Edmunds role.  The Bills drafted Bernard to groom into Milano's role.  A replacement for Edmunds is not on the roster.

Just my view.
