That being said, despite giving up 9 receptions, still only gave up 3 points. 
 

That was my point. I don’t think not having Elam would matter this year.

We can probably get Trubisky back for cheap at this point 🤣.  He was a much better fit in this offense than Keenum.

If JA17 goes down -- god forbid -- I can think of basically no scenarios to replace him, and to get this team to be where it needs to be at the end of this season.

To be fair to CK and the team. They'd have a different gameplan for them and CK would atleast have the 1s to work with. Diggs, Gabe, and crew make it easier too.

Yes, that is definitely true.  But given the dearth of QB talent in this league as it is, it's pretty much JA17 or bust for this (or any) team.
