That was actually good coverage from Elam there, he made it a very difficult completion and it turned into an incompletion as a result. Tough drive there for the rookie but it happens.

Nearly every team has had success against us on their first scripted drive.

Then our D adjusts to their gameplay and tightens the screws.

Not a bad game plan to literally throw at Elam every play.

People got so mad during preseason whenever it was brought up Elam was struggling...

Then he got beaten out by a 6th round rookie from the same draft to start the season. It's pretty obvious why (even if this catch was out of bounds).

He was 5-10 yards off of him. He shows no ability to cover anyone.

Huh?

He was right there. He's been excellent for a rookie so far this season.

Getting sick of hearing about Pickett every play, even that incompletion.

I mean, it's his first start and he's playing really well so far. What else should they talk about while he's on the field?

He has been really good, not sure why that would be a gameplan.

Look at opponents drives after their first drive this year. Let's wait before we jump off a ledge.

Pickens looks great so far.

Even though the defense is missing a lot of pieces, you can tell he's very decisive.

I thought Pickens was the best WR in the draft. A steal in the second round. Pickens has since training camp looked every bit a NFL ready QB. Steelers have excellent receivers and our secondary is beat up. That’s a great matchup for Pitt.
