They don't play the same position. They're not going to stick Milano into Edmunds' role to have him cover large zones and the intermediate middle. Milano and Edmunds have different roles and they work great together. Another poster brought this up, as if the Bills could just swap them. It doesn't work like that. So, if you want to replace Edmunds, that's fine. He seems to be the odd man out, money-wise. Not role-wise. But to find a player with the same intangibles and abilities, you're going to be looking in the mid-first round again, unless he has some serious question marks/injury. Or if you're looking in FA, then you have to overpay. I think it's most likely that the Bills pay the man they drafted and developed, instead of using valuable resources on someone brand new. 5 1 1 Quote

Matt_In_NH Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 (edited) He likes when Milano fires his gun! Watched this a couple days back, its a nice breakdown. I have a hard time with the guys voice but the analysis is great. Edited October 7, 2022 by Matt_In_NH 1 Quote

SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 But I read on this very board that Edmunds is a glorified traffic cone in the middle of the field. 1 1 Quote

TC in St. Louis Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 What's the problem? My man is just sharing a good video. I loved it. Keep everybody!! Quote
Long Suffering Fan Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 In this analysis, I love the sheer volume of plays that are covered. The minimal on screen graphics and the voice over were enough for me to follow even though things were not super slow mo or frozen. This allowed a lot of plays to be covered in a short amount of time. Kudos to cover 1. This video shows the value of Edmunds. You can argue about how much that value is worth salary cap wise, but there shouldn't really be an argument about whether he has value. One reason why the Edmunds arguments have been fierce on this board is that one side argues that Edmunds is trash. The other side, in response, will argue that he is great...and maybe oversells the case some because he is obviously not trash. This has made the arguments very polarizing. The coaching staff obviously believes Edmunds has value. Instead of Trash or Great being the argument, how about Good (but replaceable) or Great being the argument? Nah. 🤪 The other thing I like about this video is that it talked about his reads, pattern matching, fills, etc. Very little was even mentioned about his length which (IMO) impacts QBs. 1 Quote

Usually that means replaceable Milano is but they are even better in tandem. I keep telling people how huge Edmunds is in coverage and a major reason the Bills are the new "No Fly Zone" for offenses. Now you see it with a multitude of clips showing his ability to take away deep middle options and force the ball short consistently. 2 1 Quote
