Absolutely putrid were both teams! Wilson grabbed Fort Knox and ran… at top speed to total mediocrity. Disgraceful! So you’re betting Russel’s knees, arm and nerves are going to be diminished so badly that he can finally qualify to be the qb for the newest colt’s coaching hire? Its incredible to see guys just out cold on the field coming back into the game a few plays later given the focus on concussions now. Collins took a brutal shot in that one. 1 Quote

wppete Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 That was a sad game. Russell Wilson is washed up. Waste of money for 5 years and gave up a ton of high picks and players. Quote
rusty shackleford Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 What a terrible game of football. At least for me the streaming quality on the Amazon app was very high quality for the second week in a row. Amazon did a good job putting together their commentary crew as well. Like Fitz and Sherman a lot. Always thought Michaels does a good job calling games as well. They must have paid a lot to get him to come over. Quote
WideNine Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 That was so.......... meh. Tossed the remote back to my wife and said you can watch whatever else you want midway through the 2nd qtr. Checked back later on that snoozer, only to see the glacial effort was into OT. Just really bad football. Felt like a low-scoring preseason game with crappy backup QBs. Quote
UKBillFan Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Just looking at the Thursday night games moving forward: 13/10/22: Commanders at Bears 20/10/22: Saints at Cardinals 27/10/22: Ravens at Buccaneers 03/11/22: Eagles at Texans 10/11/22: Falcons at Panthers 17/11/22: Titans at Packers 24/11/22: Patriots at Vikings (do they have the Thanksgiving evening game?) 01/12/22: Bills at Patriots 08/12/22: Raiders at Rams 15/12/22: 49ers at Seahawks 22/12/22: Jaguars at Jets 29/12/22: Cowboys at Titans Not the best of match ups, to be honest. Some of them might be half decent, but they're more in the latter half of the run. Any game would have to go some way to out-bore yesterday's game, though. Quote

Beck Water Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 If you like X's and O's, check out this rapid turn-around QB Confidential by Kurt Warner. He breaks down some of the problems with the Broncos passing game last night. Spoiler: many of them are Wilson missing throws, but not all. [I found Warner very easy to follow on this episode, he diagrammed the routes and the QB's reads - very clear] Quote

K-9 Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Hackett’s clock management, including use of timeouts, leaves a ton to be desired for sure. But the lion’s share of the blame for Denver’s problems rest with Russell Wilson. Hackett has been scheming guys open all season, but Wilson either can’t find them or misses them when he does. It’s been apparent in every game this season. 1 Quote
