Had to find Sherman after all comments in this thread. Lol he really loves Russ :)

That’s a little too much for me. We’re attacking Russell Wilson the person because he’s struggling?

I understand it all comes with being a franchise QB in the NFL but I don’t think Wilson missed Hamler because of his off field persona.

The media loves to build you up and tear you down.

Matt Ryan is also struggling in a new offense. I don’t think the headlines would be the same if the Colts lost.

man-o-man Denver and that Wilson contract is the definition of albatross...

I'm pretty sure Pete Carroll had a big old bowl of popcorn and a sh!t-eating grin last night.

Well, there was that time we got Bledsoe…

Bledsoe actually had one promising year here where he looked like "The Man" before the cliff edge rushed up underneath him

Certainly haven’t read through 45 pages so I apologize if there are already a couple dozen devoted to this but…the NFL should not be playing on Thursday night unless and until both teams are coming off a bye the week before. The product last night was akin to a preseason game. Horrendous! You know it’s bad when even the announcers are openly making fun of the game in real time.

It's just the byproduct of having two crap teams competing against each other on the field. And on tap for next week? Washington Commanders vs Chicago Bears.

Ryan Fitzpatrick: "Can somebody fill me in, What is he referring to?"

Dang, his timing and intonation are perfect.

You can think so (and I agree with the next week as well) but I think it has a lot to do with the short week, travel, recovery, and lack of preparation.  Football isn’t like the other major sports. These teams need more time to plan and recover. I know it’s all about making a buck but the product and brand are suffering. They need to make Thursday night a second half of the season event after teams start having their bye weeks. (My two cents.)

I was laughing at Michaels last night.  He swapped out the SNF game for TNF.  He has chased the dollars and now is saddled with some of the worst football each week.  He's off to Chicago for the scintillating matchup of Chi-Was.

I think the players unanimously loath Thursday night games.  Richie Incognito was "eloquent" on the subject.  Micah Hyde commented that he normally doesn't even start feeling good until Thursday.

I don't understand why they don't just give TNF to teams coming off a bye, it seems like it ought to be a solvable schedule.

However, I'm not sure a bye week for both teams would have saved last night's game.  Russ Wilson was throwing late and consistently behind his WR.  Matt Ryan was being buried in an orange shroud on every snap and forcing stupid throws just in an attempt to look like he was doing SOMETHING.  Which, in the end, he did.

I like that Pierce kid.  Def. looks worth the 2nd round pick there.

Both teams may actually have good defenses, time will tell.

Frank Reich looks like he's 75 years old and been living in a Veteran's Home.  He's aged like 15 years in the last 2.

There have been very few times where I sat down to watch an NFL game anc just stopped watching it because I was so bored. Last night was one of those nights.  some will say that when a game is close, at least that adds something to it.  I think last nights game might have been the most boring regular season game I have ever started (but not finished) watching.  I have faint memories of some Bills-Jets or Bills-Browns games that may rival it, but last night was just bad.

Al Michaels said sometimes a game is so bad it is good. I think he was actually right about this one. The deeper into the game and the more mistakes the Broncos kept making the more entertaining it became. It got really good when Broncos fans just started leaving the stadium before overtime.

I actually miss some of the low scoring games of the 90's that were just awesome defensive matchups.  But they usually involved big hits, great pass breakups and tackling.   This game had none of that.
