Trubisky is horrible.  No thanks.  I prefer Keenum based on his career body of work.  And I agree with the poster who said Gardner Minshew.  The guy isn't good enough to build a team around, but he's proven to be a very capable NFL QB when given opportunities.

Trubisky was drafted #2 overall - the Bills never had an opportunity to draft him.

And of course, you are right. I stand corrected.

The Giants will franchise Jones if they want to keep him.

I don't see the giants using the franchise tag in him.  It'll pay him too much. I think they sign him to a reasonable short term contract

The anger was for passing on Watson/Mahomes as I recall. I'm still baffled how much the Bears gave up to move up 1 spot for Trubisky

The issue is that another team could go after him like the Panthers, Raiders, Colts or Texans could be in line for a new QB this offseason.

At the time I think the general consensus was that the Bears were idiots for trading up. Why move from #3 to #2 for a QB that wasn't viewed as generational ?

In hindsight.... holy cow. Has to be on a very short list of worst GM decisions ever. Trading UP for Trubisky when you could've stayed pat (or even moved down a few slots) and selected Mahomes or Watson

Trubisky looks like a much better QB when you don't have to see him play.

Mark Twain was touring Europe and attended a Richard Wagner opera.  Afterwards he was asked how he liked Wagner's music and he said it's a lot better than it sounds.

Same concept about Trubisky.

I still believe Sam Darnold is going to end up here somehow

I sure hope not, Sam might be a good guy, but he is not a professional QB by a long shot.

Mitch and Darnold in a tables match next offseason. Winner gets the backup job to try and rebuild their value.

Mitch was playing behind a pathetic o-line.  The result was easily predictable.  Pickett will be taking some significant hits and is likely to miss some games.  We'll see how bad the o-line is this week.

Mitch is never going to be a great quarterback. But he’s taking the heat from Pittsburgh and there’s much bigger issues there than just poor quarterback play over there.

Minshew is a terrible QB. Don't want him on the Bills. What is intriguing about him?

Dude has a great attitude and has shown in limited action he can play.

Feel he has been in positions the other  guy was the guy, and hasn’t gotten the chance.

Can't say I disagree...he has thrown for nearly 6K yards in 3 years and has a 93.9 QB Rating with 41 TDs and 12 INTs, which is much higher than most backup caliber QBs have when playing that much.

What I didn't understand is why he didn't threaten the field, let it fly long and down the seams.  He knew he was going to be benched for the tentative short yardage dumpoffs.  An interception reaches the same result, but you have to try.  One can't go with a whimper, air it ouit.

Because when you air it out and miss, you get pushed out of the league. If you protect the football, some coach will look at you and think you can be a backup or spot starter. See: Tyrod Taylor. He did the exact same thing when faced with the prospect of losing his job and he's turned it into a career that's much longer than it probably should be based on results.

Trubisky is a less athletic Tyrod Taylor.

That had occured to me also actually.

I think Keenums contract is up after this year, so the bills will be in the market again for a backjup.  Mitch works for me for the right monehy.
