my real question is... do any of you all find that movie obsene?

ill explain the question.

i recently loaned the DVD to my mom and dad to watch. (i was there for some of it).

and i had forgotten how much cursing and sex talk there was, (i dont even realize some people find it offensive, its just normal talk to me). but i could tell my mom and dad didnt like it to much...

then the kicker..

BOOBIES. :)

of all the times ive see that movie i had NO IDEA there was a pair of those in the movie... so i was alittle surprised to see that pop up as im sitting there watching this with my moms and pops... (its strange, cus thats usually the 1 thing i remember about movies. )

i thaught they would like the classic office job movie, since my dad has been working in an office for 20+ years. (i know i did, since i recently got a job in an office).

so what do yall think of the movie????

i think its funny as hell, but do you think its to much cursing and "sex talk"?? :D

to me that just adds to its greatness. but thats just me... :)

Where's the boobies at in the movie?  I don't remember them either.

I say if you can't remember nudity in a movie, then that must be one HELL of a movie.  :D

I was thinking the same thing. I cant recall any breasts or profanity. I would think it would be a good film for parents. Great film BTW

Brilliant movie.

The boobies were in the breast cancer examination show the next door neighbor was watching and told Peter to switch to...

Weren't Peter and the neighbor watching a porno early in the movie?

There's about a five second long breast scene.

Great movie!

Some classic scenes.

"What would you say you do here?"

"Look I already told you, I deal with the God-Damned customers so that the engineers don't have to. I have People skills! I am good at dealing with people! Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?"

or

"We get caught laundering money we're not going to white collar resort prison...no no no...we're going to FEDERAL POUND ME IN THE ASS PRISON!"

Whenever I deal with beurocratic micromanagers I think to myself-

"Hi Peter, whats happening? We need to talk about your TPS reports. Yeah, the cover sheet I know. Uh, Bill talked to me about it. Yeah. Did you get that memo? Yeah I got the memo and I understand the policy and the problem is is that I just forgot the one time, and I have already taken care of it so it's not even really a problem anymore. Yeah. It's just we are putting new cover sheets on the TPS reports before they go out, so if you could go ahead and try to remember to do that from now on, that would be great. Alright."

Office Space is a cool movie. It seems like the kid dropped acid or X and then went to work. You are brave loaning it to your M&P.

Mike Judge's new movie is called 3001

Here's a summary: Private Joe Bowers, the definition of "average American", is selected by the Pentagon to be the guinea pig for a top-secret hibernation program, set 1,000 years in the future. He discovers a society so incredibly dumbed-down that he's easily the most intelligent person alive.

The purpose of the program set up by the Pentagon, called the "Human Hibernation Project," is designed so that the military can save their best men for when they're needed most. According to the officers heading the project, too many times the talents and expensive training of the best pilots and soldiers go to waste during times of peace. So they enlist Bowers (Wilson), the most under-achieving average guy they've got, to be the test subject for the initial hibernation experiment. Also participating in the top-secret program is Rita (Rudolph), a prostitute who agreed to take part in exchange for dropping some criminal charges against her, among other things. Of course, the experiment, which was to last only a year, goes under due to the arrest of Officer Collins, who is busted for heading a prostitution ring. Seeing as though he was in charge of the experiment, one of the only ones who knew of its existence, and "due to a lot of top-secret red tape... and the massive scandals and base closure that followed, Joe and Rita were forgotten about.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Summer Movie Preview issue, the movie does not have a working title at presstime.

The movie stars Luke Wilson, Maya Rudolph, and Dax Shepard.

Here's the writeup:

"Luke Wilson stars in this as-yet-unnamed sci-fi comedy as an 'average dumb@$$' (in writer-director Judge's own words) who takes part in an Army hibernation experiment and wakes up 500 years in the future to find out that he's the smartest person in a world that's been dumbed down beyond our imagination. "Most science fiction shows the future being more advanced -- in 2001, they weren't predicting Jerry Springer and giant Wal-Marts", says Judge, whose last film was 1999's deadpan classic Office Space. "I thought it would be funny if you just took the trend that's happened from the '50s to now and extrapolated another few centuries." Pause. "Is 'extrapolate' the right word? There's that dumbing down."

It opens August 5, the same day as The Dukes of Hazzard, so it's probably gonna get clobbered at the box office. :D

I love Mike Judge's concept, though. It's totally original.

I live the opening driving scene (where the old lady with the walker is moving faster than the traffic) every morning. I think about the movie during that almost daily.

Office Space, like Napoleon Dynamite, is a movie that is funnier to talk about than watch.

Both are quite funny to watch, IMO.

Some classic scenes.

Every day is worse than the day before, therefore every day is the worst day of my life...

Yep, its a small part, but they do show the girl on TV for 3secs getting a breast exam. But as far as this movie showing lots of nudity, and crude profanity, well, there isn't any. Good fun for the whole family and Co-workers alike. A must see.

Mike Judge is a genius. Office Space is so funny and so true.

DREW: "If things go well with her tonight, she will be ridin' the ol' BONE rollercoster, know what I mean?"

TOM: "Its a JUMP to conclusions mat!"

also, "The People Skills" interview with the consultants is a instant classic.

MICHAEL: "Well at least your name isn't Michael Bolton."

SMAIR: "You know, there is nothing wrong with that name"

MICHAEL: "There WASsss nothing wrong with it; until I was 12 yrs old and that NO TALENT ASS CLOWN starting singing songs and winning Grammy's!!"

Try that with the "Kentucky Fried Movie" for some real mortification :):)

I didn't remember it being that raunchy either. Sometimes being too damn funny is not a good thing.
