Magox Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 I hate to see families get broken up. Kids being involved at the age they are is tough and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I think Tom loves the game and everything that surrounds it so much that he just couldn’t let go and it is coming at the expense of his family. He truly is a one of a kind, no player could match his mentality and even though it helped him propel his career there wasn’t enough room for much else. 1 3 Quote

When your family is begging you to hang up the cleats well past retirement age and all you care about is another year of stat padding.... What would you choose? 100% loser man Definitely another year of stat padding. If your wife doesn't support your dreams, then she isn't worth keeping around. He'll have millions of others to choose from. 1 Quote

It has nothing to do with Tom Brady. Nobody says Tom won't have any life after he hangs it up. It's a strawman that gets beat on to take out 20 years of frustration and unfounded personal hatred of a dude who plays QB really well. 2 Quote

JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 I bet Brady's un-retirement was a symptom, not a cause. 3 1 Quote

Low Positive Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 This thread is about to be comes super toxic, what with the age and demographics of the majority of TSW posters. 1 Quote
TheBrownBear Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 This isn't a political post - just an observation - but I've seen many women/wives (okay, a lot of people regardless of gender) change drastically over the past few years in their behavior and world views. I'm seeing a lot of guys I know getting sort of blindsided by divorces or otherwise walking a very fine line trying to keep their marriages/families intact. It doesn't surprise me one bit that this is happening to Brady. 1 Quote
BuffaloBaumer Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 It’s a real shame because Brady got greedy and wanted his cake and to eat it too after unretiring. It seems like he had a good family life and he pushed a little too hard this final try. He could’ve had it all with his football legacy and time to enjoy his kids at a great age. I would not be surprised to see him retire immediately if he thinks he can save it. Quote

I could also clear it up pretty quickly by confirming that I was making things up, but that would take the fun out of it. I was hoping the absurdity of the post in combination with the fact it was made in reference to Tommy scouting the beaches for Giselle's replacement would have been sufficient. 🤷♀️ Quote

Why would he want to retire from the only profession he's ever known if he thinks he can still compete at a high level? You're doubling down on a painfully ridiculous take. But it's fun, so please don't stop. 2 Quote
