All_Pro_Bills Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 (edited) Last year's Bills defense was a statistical illusion but this year's version looks like the real deal. Able to limit the run game and contain the passing game, getting pressure and sacks on the QB, tackles for loss, and forcing turnovers. Haven't seen or heard anything yet but releasing DT's this week might mean Oliver and Phillips are healthy and play Sunday. I think they stop the run and force lots of 3rd and longs on Sunday. The offense goes as Josh Allen goes. Not worried about the WR situation and hope Davis is closer to 100%. I don't see any letdown or looking past this Steelers team. And I don't see a rookie QB coming into OP and pulling the big upset unless the Bills turn the ball over 4 or 5 times. Heyward always seems to play like Superman against the Bills so if they handle him well it might be game over. I do see a closer game than most but the Bills just have a better roster and are playing too good so far this season to lose here, Bills 27 Steelers 13. corta765 Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 Bills 30 Steelers 17 The Bills don't cover the Spread! ... but it doesn't matter as a late garbage TD is the only reason. Buffalo pretty much runs rough shot as they score on the opening drive with Knox getting a TD finally and then picking Pickett on the next drive to get another TD on a Cook screen pass to go up 14-0 after the 1st. The Steelers get a FG mid second quarter but Buffalo answers with a FG of their own to go into halftime up 17-3. Steelers drive stalls out of half and Buffalo gets another FG to go up 20-3. Pickett throws another INT and Buffalo more or less ices the game then with Diggs TD for 30 yards as the 3rd quarter ends. PIT gets some garbage points and Bass gets another FG as the Bills cruise to KC at 4-1. Allen has not really had a great game for PIT I think finally he gets his day against them: Allen 24-31 340 yds 3 TDs // rushing 35 yds 3 att Singletary 73 yds 10 att Diggs 112 yds 1 TD 6 rec 1 Quote
BearNorth Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 Does the absence of TJ Watt mean the Bills can concentrate more on Heyward? Last year those two meant a pick your poison. Quote

LOVEMESOMEBILLS Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 With TJ Watt still sidelined, Sunday will be the 1st time Josh has played the Steelers and won't have to run for his life. Their lines on both sides of the ball are really bad. Add to that McDermott's track record against rookie QBs, it's not looking good for them. Bills: 41 Sqeelers: 17 1 Quote

Amaru523 Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 The Bills are favored by 14, if I was a bettin man I'd put money on that. Bills and Steelers are going in opposite directions. I see Von having a monster game and Allen should pick apart the Pitt D and sit out the 4th quarter. Bills - 34 Steelers - 6 1 Quote
RiotAct Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I’ll say 30-20 Bills now that it’s cone out that Knox and Poyer aren’t playing. Probably an overreaction on my part… maybe it’ll still be a blowout 1 Quote

Virgil Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Steelers 41 Bills 6 With Poyer out again, Tomlin tells the rookie to push the ball deep center and repeatedly takes advantage of our safety communication issues. The Steelers defense shows up big and Josh has a very 2021 Jags type of performance. Lack of reps with Shakir leads to at least one Josh interception and the Bills fail to find the endzone. On the Bills one promising drive, led by multiple passes from Josh to Davis, Davis tweaks his ankle, and the Bills never find the redzone again. Bills are at 3-2 heading into a KC to really kill the season mood at .500 heading into the bye week 2 2 2 1 1 2 Quote
