Welcome October!🍁

The quality competition just keeps on coming! We’re on the road at Baltimore facing John Harbaugh, the phenomenal Lamar Jackson and more crappy weather. Our now too common Wounded Warrior Team gets a few important pieces back in Ed Oliver, AllPro Po, Dane Jackson and the sorely missed Mitch Morse, while losing rookie standout Christian Benford, Jordan Phillips and Touchdown Jesus. Newly acquired veteran CB Xavier Rhodes quickly goes from ‘Alright! Reinforcements!’ to ‘Ah Crap! Hamstring!’ Then there’s a few under the radar injury narratives worth watching, chief among them Josh Allen’s passing hand and Stephon Diggs -who followed up a gutty, painful performance in Miami with not practicing all week. Gabe Davis & Dawson Knox will hobble back onto the field with nagging injuries that have significantly limited their effectiveness while fan favorite Bobby Hart is out of detention. Another under the radar aspect has been the fantastic play of our entire LB crew. Edmunds is playing like he wants to stay here AND be a mega-millionaire while Milano is -well, simply the best in the bidniz!

The Ravens haven’t escaped serious injuries either (who Has?). But they’re more handicapped by an overall weaker roster that isn’t well hidden by Lamar’s brilliance. Dead last in pass defense and uninspired play at LB, RB, OL & WR. Like us, they’re 2-1 with their lone loss coming in south Florida.

Speaking of my adopted State, weather discussion this week begins and ends with the devastating, killer hurricane Ian, the remnants of which is what we’ll slosh through today.

Both teams are 2-1, legit Super Bowl contenders and, in a scheduling quirk, we’re the 4th consecutive AFCEast team they play this season. The loser today will have 2 Conference losses, just 4 weeks in. So the stage is set for a knockdown, drag ‘em out barn burner between 2 would be powerhouses featuring the 2 best QBs from the 2018 Draft who’ve already earned enough accolades to be considered likely HOFers. Virtually the entire nation will be tuning in to watch this titanic tilt! It doesn’t get much better on the sports landscape. As they say here in Florida, Hunker Down!

GO BILLS!

I am so stoked for this game. I'm trying to hold it in until 1 PM EDT.

Thankfully, this one isn’t on prime time. Kinda strange, but I miss 1:00pm KO’s.

It's actually 10 AM out west here. Great way to start the day.

I love the smell of Bills football in the morning.

Good Game Day Morning TBD! I hope you have a great day, get to church, or get something productive done in the morning, and then settle in for a fun afternoon of football. Today is the MVP Bowl, coming to you at 1:00 PM (EST), live from Baltimore. You don't want to miss our guy Josh Allen staking his rightful claim of that esteemed honor.

LET'S GO, BUFFALO!

Comment: @Chandler#81 Thank you, for these early morning game day threads. Each week I look forward to reading your always thoughtful perspective about the upcoming game. Keep up the great work! And, yes, "GO BILLS!"

can’t remember so many injuries on the team .

is the training staff the same ? Are the hamstrings an indication of the

older players ,dumb bad luck ? Or just good luck in the past couple years?

this will keep Bean up at night seems like every older db he signs gets injured immediately.

maybe it’s time to start poaching others practice teams,at least they’ve been practicing daily?

The Bills are the better team in pretty much all areas, including coaching, so they should win. I would be less confident if the Bills were fielding last year's defense against the heavy, three-tight end offense of the Ravens, but Daquan, Rousseau, Settle and Basham have been great, and now Oliver is back.

The Bills offensive line, though.... They really have to to turn that around, starting today. Saffold is playing like he's 60 and Brown like he's 13.
