DeMaurice Smith is a moron. He fires this guy which gives a perfect scapegoat for the league and Dolphins. He should have been attacking the protocol and the team.

News came out hours ago… but I agree it’s own thread is warranted…this firing sets a precedent and will change how potential concussions are handled. Hopefully disciplinary actions for the Dolphins are next.

If this is going to be credible at all, then the NFLPA needs to explain the mistakes that they claim he made.

They don’t actually have to prove anything to dismiss him. They can do that even if he made no mistakes at all.

one astute poster raised a great point.  The NFL was buying bull#### that is was a back and ankle injury.  Why didn't the NFL and Dolphins give back ankle tests and updates?

If I was a reporter, I would ask Miami coach- "I's got to know.  how is Tuas back?  He was obviously hurt.  How is Tuas ankle?"

I’m guessing the fine doctor got a nice little paycheck for jumping on this grenade.

It’s no sweat to him. He wasn’t doing it for the money (his day job takes care of this), but rather for weekly sideline tickets.
