I mean people who obviously cannot care for themselves due to mental illness should be placed in an involuntary confinement for treatment. Obviously this kind of thing would need to be significantly regulated and given constant oversight but it would be best for all parties.

What the system needs to do is if a violent or any of these criminals are shown this type of treatment by a DA or a Judge and released and then commit the same or worse crime after their release then those allowing them this leniency need to be held accountable for allowing them to be repeat offenders !

 

Then maybe they will see what they are doing to society and those that abide by the laws that they don't uphold .
