I mean we have a first amendment, so WTF is this?

What is the context to this question?  Is there a Christian Nationalist party?  I googled it and find lots of references to the dangers of the concept, but what specifically are you talking about?

This thread is from the person who thought that the Bible is a pro-slavery fairy tale. You cannot make this stuff up! 😂😂

You can't keep even simple arguments straight. I mean why are you saying that?

Explain yourself. Insults to follow shortly!

Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ron DeSantis and other Republicans are saying we should embrace it. So you like me don't understand it I guess. Just asking if anyone knows

This sounds like another boogie man invented by the cult of chaos to distract voters from the horrendous record of the administration going into the mid-terms.  They're desperate so they need to use fearmongering and distraction.  As their record sucks.

Close but way worse. This is slow methodical march to make Christians into the next deplorable subset of Americans. These folks know exactly what they’re doing and they are not playing around.

It was you question, Tibs, not mine.  Embrace a Christian National political party?  Have Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ron DeSantis and other republicans started a Christian Nationalist party?   I can't find anything about that on the internet.

I do see references to politicians talking about Christian values, and articles from certain publications characterizing people as Christian Nationalists.   That seems more like folks trying to gin up controversy by creating a label, then saying the label is dangerous, and then linking names to the label they created.

I can't be sure of what you are asking if you are not sure first.

FACT.

one has to demonize the other to keep the base scared enough to support horrible policies.

I know it was question. Why do people ask questions?

Anyway, those folks say they want the GOP to be a religious party, so I'm asking what is that?

People ask questions for a variety of reasons.  Maybe it's to gauge the interest of another party.  Sometimes it's to gain clarity on a  subject they are unfamiliar with.  Questioning can be a form of mockery.  Sometimes it's to start a debate, or a gain mutual understanding.

I'm seeking to understand the context of your question.

You seem to now suggest that Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ron DeSantis and "other republicans" want to start a political party called the Christian Nationalist party.  I googled the sentences you pulled together for this query and searched the internet.  I can find numerous  opinion pieces on the subject, but can't find any that speak specifically to what you are suggesting.

I can find quotes attributed to people that definitely speak to the partnering of Christianity and government.  I can find references to the Bible and government, and Marjorie Taylor Greene's name comes up associated with those quotes.

However, that's nothing new in politics.  We have communists, socialists, capitalists, agnostics, secessionists, and religious-minded folks in the mix politically.  Bernie Sanders is perpetually mentioned as presidential candidate and his ties to the Soviet Union are widely known and embraced.

What's got you all riled up here, on this subject, to the extent it warranted a separate thread?

That makes no sense.  You said these people embraced something called "Christian Nationalism".     How hard can it be to find clips of MTG, Ron DeSantis or others saying "Embrace Christian Nationalism!".
