ShakAttack Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Morse and the safeties about equal to me. Both took points off the board. I think if it were Poyer and Jaquan it would’ve played out different. Just not sure about Hamlin. that said, I won’t pretend I haven’t seen the Bills give up inexplicable third and long plays numerous times even with Hyde and Poyer both in there. Despite having a great defense, seems to be something that happens much more than it should 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Morse and Hyde for me. They are in the middle of the field and running their respective sides of the ball. We can’t underestimate the importance of intelligence. Those are 2 of the smartest players on the team that cover for others because they’re always in the right place. Quote
bmur66 Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Morse not playing was definitely a huge void and it showed but I think if Ed Oliver and Jordan Phillips played The D-line would have blown them up and changed the whole game. Quote
Maine-iac Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Poyer or Hyde then probably Oliver or Phillips. The worst blocking I saw was Brown before he went out and I think we missed Morse but the offense was moving the ball no problem. We drove every time we had the ball. Then we made mistakes. I would like to think that if we had our starting safeties we would have covered enough to let our pass rush get there more often. I think read somewhere we hadn't given up 3 20 yard pass plays in a long time. That's Poyer and Hyde. Tua averaged 10 per attempt. Quote
