We do know. It was an independent neurologist. They have one at every game. That’s who clears them after a head injury, and apparently the neurologist cleared him.

But would we know if there were any shenanigans?  Lots of people getting upset with the Dolphins organization.  Did they influence this at all?  Or should they have just veto’d based on the eye test?

Notice none of the TV people are mentioning the possible concussion last week and the possible another head trauma tonight.

They're company men.

Bills fans diagnosing head injuries is almost as fun as Bills fans investigating sexual assault.

Debating what we saw in front of our TV is a lot different than some nonsense with Twitter attorneys etc.

Anyone who's played a lick of sports knows that dude got lit up and his lights were out.

The white knight look ain't a good look.

Man that was tough to watch.  Tua got hammered.  What is interesting is several plays earlier he was tackled by a Bengals defender (who was penalized for a late hit) and Tua went down in an odd posture, with legs crossed.  Then last week he came up wobbly.  I don't think he's built for the NFL.  Great player though and I hope he recovers well.

That's charitable. I don't think he's earned the "great" moniker. He does seem like a great guy and a prospect with potential though. I wish him good health.

I will say that it's entirely possible and even likely he was legitimately cleared last week, and it was really more about his back as disclosed, but this is a terrible look for the Dolphins and NFL. It reeks of second impact syndrome. Whether it's deserved or not, someone will likely get fired/sued.

I'm sure they were all given a memo from the NFL to keep quiet.

Al mentioned it for a moment just after the first replay then pivoted quickly to "back injury"

Does anyone else (think I know the answer) think Tua is simply NOT an NFL QB? He has some skills, sure, but physically he is unsafe out there. Just unable to protect himself enough to withstand the game's violence. I've never seen a guy get ragdolled by every defender who really gets their hands on him. Almost every season, since college.

Would have been better for him to get knocked out of last week's game, which we all know is what actually happened in the alternate reality where the NFL follows its own very important protocols.
