Why is it so hard for them to bring us real offensive linemen? We haven’t taken a 1st or 2nd round WR in how long? We deal with injuries and this is what we get, Allen with no time to throw and he’s going to end up getting hurt by it. Don’t get me wrong, Allen scrambling for yards is ok in some situations, but sidestepping on nearly every play because of trash blocking is going to get him killed eventually. If this next draft isn’t dedicated to multiple linemen, a WR and a S, then they get what they deserve.

Well, considering we were down what, 2 or 3 starting OL today? Seems like a bad time to criticize, what team can flawlessly survive that?

 

I mean we had PS CBs playing today, so hard to knock the Elam pick.

 Not really, livid watching Allen grinding into oblivion so we can rotate linemen that can’t get home outside of Rousseau and Miller.

As I've said elsewhere, we would have won if the game was in Buffalo today.  The heat killed the Bills offense, from the linemen to the skill players.  I'm not worried at this point.  We were the better team today on the field.

Pretty sure if we even just had Morse in for this game, it would’ve been a win.

Yeah no.  Backup Center to start. Then backup RT and RG during the game. Then backup to the backup Center mid game. I’d say that our backups and 3rd string OL played pretty well today considering. 
 

not giving excuses, we had the win in our hands and didn’t catch it. But the OL wasn’t nearly as terrible as you think

The online was fine the first 2 games. We played in 75,000 degree heat and were down Mitch Morse. They should call this site "billsconclusionjumpers.com"

In fairness, he spent big on Miller but he didn't really turn up today. Rousseau did far more.

Look, I understand heat & injuries really made this a s*** show for us today, but you're still 100% right about the O-line.

 

This is something Josh Allen has helped cover up for the past few years, but this team has barely invested anything in upgrading this line. All they do is look to patch it up each off-season, with mid-level vets & late round picks. They prioritize "flexibility" & guys who can be a Swiss army knife filling holes, rather than elite talent at their respective position.

 

It's part of the reason we can't run the ball, regardless of who the RB's are. James Cook might be amazing, but we'll never know his true potential with this line. Allen dancing around pressure & scrambling helps keep their sack numbers low, but they're mediocre group at BEST.

I would go even farther and say what team could even stay in the game with the level of injuries we had/have.  Man I hate this board after a loss.

So if I’m correct, we need back up safeties and more linemen, my guess being either higher draft picks or free agents, but also somehow getting Josh more weapons….sounds reasonable

We had practice squad players come in relief, there is no team that are 3 deep at every position on the OL. this is the dumbest thread I've seen in quite some time and there has been some doozies on here after a loss.

You realize that the starting and second string centers were out, the starting RG and RT out as well.   They were down to last lineman in lineup
