Playing prevent when we just needed to rush Tua into another bad throw. Silly strategy on a day where our defense was deserving and our offense put up 500 yards. The worst part about it was game feel. Tua was rattled in that moment. Just rush 4 and he can’t stand in his gigantic pocket scanning the field without a care in the world. 1 1 Quote

Why do we even have an UDFA from UB of all places? Safeties were in deep coverage there. I'd hate to have guys from UB on the team. Like Khalil Mack for instance. Quote

The Bills actually dominated the game. I believe exhausted players made some non-characteristic mistakes as the game went on. This game reminded me a lot of the Rams game. A whole lot of dominance and a whole lot of points left out on the field and not put up on the scoreboard. On to Baltimore where I will admit I think the Bills will struggle after this loss today. Total exhaustion. Edited September 25, 2022 by Beast 2 1 1 Quote
SloanBillsFan Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 I'm just curious whether or not this is the most decimated with injuries the Bills have been in the Josh Allen era? Quote

In fact, that’s probably their best running play from the goal line. Edited September 25, 2022 by vincec 1 1 Quote

Clear coaching mistake. If Jackson, Poyer and Hyde are back there, you can probably get away with that. With what we have now, not so much and the coaches need to recognize that. There were two (perhaps three) coaching errors IMO - the second offensive drive play calling, the defensive set up on 3 & 22 and calling our final timeout instead of taking the delay of game. In comparison we made numerous execution errors on offense (Josh, Diggs, McKenzie, Davis), one key one on defense (Milano) and a couple on STs (Bass and Crowder). 1 Quote

A Bills fan of all people should know better than to making a huge deal about 3-0. You're going to have to really try hard to convince me why I'm supposed to be impressed by a team that barely broke 200 yards of offense against a decimated defense. I hear you. They could very well implode. The Bills are clearly superior. Does not mean they are trash like I read all week on here. 1 Quote

muppy Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Quote Honestly, we outplayed them, both our O and D were the better units, however they finished the few drives they had with 3 TD's, we have a ton more successful offensive drives, but we didn't finish, we drew penalties, missed a FG, missed two spikes, fumbled, the biggie us going 0/4 inside the 6 in comparison to backup safety Johnson taking a penalty in the same situation Our D only gave up 21 pts today, but really only gave up 14 pts, that should be good enough to win with our offense, and especially considering the injuries, I thought our D held up great today, yes the safety play on the winning Phins touchdown was horrendous, but overall a tremendous effort on Fraser's part, and the rookies made mistakes but the zone held up However I can't say our offence was successful, yes we controlled the TOP and gained almost 500 yards, but just scoring 17 pts means we left a ton of points out on the field, and especially in the 2nd half and 4Q, an offense that gains that many yards should be scoring way more points, whereas instead our O gave away 7 pts and only converted two TD's, that's not a winning formula, the bottom line is we should have won the game My feeling is our O gave this one away more than the Dolphins won anything, our D limited them to just 14 pts, our O way outplayed their D to almost gaining 500 yards, it's a lucky win for the Phins, but an example that in the NFL a key turnover and finishing your offensive drive with TD's gives you a chance to win even when you are outplayed, us not converting on three 2nd half long drives, was reminiscent of how we lost games last season, where we were in position to win, but our O unit could not convert a post worth sharing he about says it all #wilcoam Quote

Good play from the CB but should’ve been caught and wasn’t. I mean, pretty simply, he did, and started to turn and then it was stripped, all over the goal line, had they called TD it would not have been overturned.. for all the bull ***** McClappy challenges with ZERO chance of winning, this was worth a shot. 4 minutes ago, Solomon Grundy said: I wanna know why Von wasn't on the field for that play? What that tells me is Dorsey had no confidence in the line today. Miami ran it against us in goal to go yardage and has success. No reason why we can't do the same unless they have convinced themselves they can't. Hell, run 3 straight QB sneaks for crying out loud. You needed less than a yard. Quote

He was brought here to be the "closer" It’s the Jim Schwartz/Chan Gailey answer. It is part of the rotation. A lot of guys were struggling. Von could have been as well. And may give a clue as to why they rushed 3. This game was such a mess, I am not sure this is a decision I’m that concerned about. Quote

He was brought here to be the "closer" Defies logic. It's like getting any pressure on the QB whatsoever never even crossed their mind. If you have a decimated secondary, the LAST thing you should be trying to do is to give the opposing QB time to find the hole in the coverage. Quote
