YoloinOhio Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 (edited) Quote Safety Micah Hyde won’t practice again Thursday and is getting further consultation on the neck injury he suffered Monday night. Hyde has sought more expert opinion on his injury out of town, a league source told The News. Bills coach Sean McDermott declined to comment on whether Hyde was with the team on Thursday. “I’m not going to go there,” he said. Hyde was injured in the fourth quarter of the game against Tennessee after making what looked like a routine tackle of Robert Woods on a short pass play. Hyde walked off the field and then was carted to the Bills’ locker room. Edited September 22, 2022 by YoloinOhio 7 2 Quote
Warcodered Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 I'd say that pretty well eliminates him this week. 5 2 7 Quote
Process Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 That's not good. You have to think he is out for sure on Sunday. Hopefully Gabe and Knox are ready to go. Offense gonna need to light em up. 2 2 Quote
billsfan89 Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Most likely not playing against the Fins bummer but this is a marathon not a sprint and Hyde missing a week or two is better than him having a long term injury. 1 2 Quote
Malazan Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 oof.. down 2 starting corners and a safety 1 2 Quote
PetermansRedemption Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Looks to definitely be out for Sunday. Just hope he will be ok and can come back healthy after the bye. Just now, Malazan said: oof.. down 2 starting corners and a safety Against the best WR duo we will play this season 😡 1 Quote
Success Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Well, nothing strengthens depth like getting big game experience in the regular season. Next man up, as we always say. 4 2 2 Quote
VaMilBill Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 I’m worried he’s going to be out for a significant amount of time, if not IRd. Neck injuries are no joke 7 1 10 Quote
Wayne Arnold Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Wise move by Hyde. You can't mess with neck injuries. Get as much consultation and possible regardless of how long it may take. 4 1 Quote
Big Turk Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Starting to bring back Aaron Williams scenarios in my head...this could be a season ending issue...I hope not but obviously he is trying to avoid something serious like a surgery or going on IR 1 1 Quote
LabattBlue Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 It would be interested to know what the teams trainers/doctors said, that made him want to get a 2nd opinion? 5 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Damn, yeah I agree that this suggests the probability he out this week is pretty high. We are looking at possibly playing the Fins in Miami without our entire starting secondary playing. I still think we will win this game even if they all miss the game. Just going to take those guys up front disrupting Tua enough that allows our offense to outpace the Fins. And in the worst case scenario happens and we have to win this game in an old fashion shootout, best believe my money is on Allen to out duel Tua. 6 Quote
uninja Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 The phrases “neck injury” and “second opinion” don’t typically instill me with confidence that this is minor. All the vibes for Hyde and hope it’s not serious. 1 Quote
billybob71 Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 looks like Johnson/ Hamlin time is coming sooner than we thought Quote

I like our secondary depth, couple that with our pass rush and explosive Offense and I'm still confident in this game. 2 Quote
Son of a K-Gun Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Can't fault him one bit if he has any doubt the neck isn't right...Hyde is a warrior. Hamlin/Johnson will carry the load until he's ready. Quote

BADOLBILZ Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 They've gotten A LOT of mileage out of Hyde. If it's close to a career threatening decision he should call it quits and retire to his beautiful home in San Diego(I believe) with his health and the bags of money. Won't be any surprise if they get a lot of attrition on defense in the next 18 months..........it's really hard to keep a defense healthy and together for as long as this back 7..........that's why Seattle won a SB as the youngest team in the NFL and the defense was shot just a few years later. Hopefully they can get everyone thru this season after all or at least the young backups continue to step up. 10 1 Quote
