It’s fun looking back on the bad years now (I get that) but I like winning and having having the best QB in the league! It’s the Best! excited kramer GIF by HULU

It’s strange, but in some ways I enjoyed the games more when I didn’t expect to win. I wanted the Bills to win, but I didn’t expect it. So, I enjoyed the wins more and the losses were a lot less gutting.

Are you serious?

Look, dude, this place is going to be a China Syndrome after the first loss.  And they're going to rightly blame Einstein for the bad juju.  Don't bring this stuff around here.

You just worded my thoughts a lot better than I did.

This is a very large part of what I was trying to articulate.

The wins dont seem as special now that I expect them.

Don't more of you miss going into Patriots week with the angst of just wanting to beat them so badly but knowing it would be next to impossible but still having hope?

The draft was definitely more interesting. It is basically all you live for in the bad years, hoping to find one or two players that can change your fortune.

The draft is kind of boring now for me. It is still important, but I know the Bills will be fine regardless.

But, I'd much rather be excited about the actual season and post season than the draft. I'll take that 10 times out of 10.

I miss being smarter than an NFL coach, OC, DC, and GM. But I greatly prefer not being as smart as the coach, OC, DC, and GM.

That would make a good topic on this board. Curious myself.

I actually thought about starting a topic on it and listing the starters on both sides to remind everyone. Figured it was much too early in the season to do it. But I would’ve if the Bills got to 8-0.

I much prefer WGR’s current version of the whiner line (Pats fans whining about their team) than the former.

To answer the question, no. Just….. no.

Before you immediately jump to answer "NO", realize that this question does not mean that you don't like winning.

I enjoy the Bills recent success and I root for a championship trophy. I have a man crush on Josh Allen that my colleagues find odd. That being said, part of me misses the drama of Flutie v Johnson, Bledsoe v Losman, the Fitzpatrick upward trajectory followed by the downward trajectory, top 10 pick draft talk, checking the playoff tiebreakers to find a 1 in 1,000 chance of making the tournament, etc. I wonder if the large swings in outcomes of the past created a dopamine response in my brain.

Does anyone else feel this way? Or perhaps I am in a party of one?

You're an interesting person that a therapist would really enjoy unpacking.

No

I especially don’t miss everyone claiming the refs had the fix in against the Bills or the media was against them. We sucked or at best were mediocre for 17 years.

They are now the talk of the NFL and media darlings. And now that they are winning the ref complaints have died down. Shocking...
