Big Turk Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 I really hope they are using the H.E.M. method of ankle rehab versus R.I.C.E Have used it 3 times on myself and can say it is far superior in every way to traditional treatment(which I have used several times also). https://hemanklerehab.com/ Was designed by a physical therapist who felt there was a better way to treat them because R.I.C.E ends up weakening the ankle and making sprains more likely to reoccur. It's pretty simple but amazingly effective. The first time I used it went from an ankle swelled up the size of a grapefruit and crutches to virtually no swelling within 48 hours and walking normally on it. Went for a follow up with the doctor who expected me to still be on crutches and I walked in with no issues and no swelling and he was literally stunned and couldn't believe it. He asked me what I did and I told him and he was amazed...said that is was very very unusual to have something respond to treatment that quickly and that well. If teams are still using the R.I.C.E protocol they are missing out on much quicker healing times, IMO. Quote
GreggTX Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 We aren't going to win very easily if these injuries persist. Let's hope we get guys back before it's too late or everyone will blame the Coach. Quote
