Cuboirs Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Do we now go after veteran help at corner, we have alot of injuries piling up. 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Nope, Benford and Elam with Siran Neal as the backup until Tre and/or Dane return 1 Quote
Clockwork Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 I don’t think so. I think they really like the two rookies. Maybe we sign someone for depth, but I don’t think it’ll be Joe Haden Quote
DCofNC Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Depth is getting thin in a hurry. Hopefully, Tre is close. Quote
Greg S Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 With all of the injuries and the Bills still being able to dominate shows that Beane has built one hell of a team with a lot of depth. However these injuries now are becoming concerning. Hopefully we get some players back this week. Quote
Billzgobowlin Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 I think Vontae Davis and Josh Norman soured them on high profile veteran DBs 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Depends on how long Jackson is out. Josh Norman knows the defense and is a FA. A bad one but he is available. Not sure what others besides Haden are available. 1 Quote
K D Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 At this point Haden might pay US to come get a ring. I would definitely do it if Dane is out for considerable amount of time Quote

Benefit of a veteran on the practice squad is that we have someone who knows the NFL and can practice against our offense. We need practice bodies at this point. Quote
MAJBobby Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Depends on the Jackson Diagnosis. most like to expect some CBS to be worked out over the next day. 1 Quote

UKBillFan Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 As others said, it should be dependent on Dane’s prognosis. We don’t want to have three CBs, once White is fit, blocking the path for the promising Benford and Elam. If Dane is out for a significant amount of time then bringing in someone like Haden makes sense. The question is if he’s missing up to but perhaps not beyond the bye. Do we take the potential hit at Arrowhead or try and strengthen up before then? Quote

So I’d argue if White is ready for the trip to the Chiefs, and Dane is back straight after the bye, then we probably suck it up unless Benford and Elam look really out of their depth on Sunday. Having Dolphins, Ravens and Chiefs in three of our next four is not the best place to be in with inexperience at CB. Quote
Ralonzo Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Practice squad has only the rookie, Kyler McMichael. Cam Lewis or Nick McCloud would have been nice... Quote
thenorthremembers Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Not sure Joe Haden is the guy, but they need to look into someone for the outside. You likely have three healthy outside corners until week 5 at the earliest. Even if they bring Olijah Griffin back for a few weeks its better than going with just three. 3 minutes ago, Ralonzo said: Practice squad has only the rookie, Kyler McMichael.
