Yep, why in the he** would you want a close game rather than a blowout?

that poster is a phins fan.  maybe he feels that if the game is close, even a loss would show miami has improved?  all i know is that he's terrified of the game this coming sunday, and you're going to see a lot of verbal gymnastics from him over the next few days.

The 2007 Patriots had the greatest regular season ever, they went 16-0 and ultimately won 18 games in a row.  Had the highest point differential in history, +315.  They had 12 games where they scored more than 30 points, again the most in NFL history.  Four consecutive games won by 20 at the start of a season, most ever.  And then they lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl.  They would be considered the greatest NFL team ever if they had won that Super Bowl.  Now they don't even get talked about very much.

The 19-0 T-Shirts are a classic! Too bad only distributed to people overseas.

What was our record in games decided by one score last year?  I believe that would be 0-5.

I'd take a lot more pride in a few 3 point wins over tough teams.

I really get a kick out of that BS rational.

WOULD YOU RATHER THAT THE BILLS  LOST BY 20 points or less than 7?

I take more pride in being so much better than our opponents that most games don't come down to just one score.

I don't think there is any other set of numbers that show how dominate we have been over the last 2 years.

The Patriots must be having some easy schedules. 7 though? jeez

UnBillievable stat. Bill's are just operating on another level.

Salute to McBeane. They operate as 1. McDermott has these boys laser focused and not believing the hype. I can't believe lil old Buffalo is the big dogs and most feared.

Here's a set of numbers to also consider: according to PFF/PFR, Bills had the 6th easiest schedule in 2021 and faced the worst group of QBs based on total QBR. The highs have been high and the lows have been low..."dominance" is relative.

we had 2 extreme weather games that we would never have lost. Also it said 2 years not one year. year before we had a hard schedule. this means nothing.

And in 2020 our record in one score games was phenomenal.   Just didn’t have that same luck last year.    Ask the Bengals how it is to win one score games.

I'd rather have beaten TB by 1 than the Jets by 41

exactly spot on Taro. and to be honest I feel this number represents who we are today than any other single number as a whole.

We are at the absolute apex of Organizational success.  We just destroyed two upper echelon teams. Josh demonstrably is reading opposing defenses on an elite level.

The near, middle and long term future look the most promising in decades…..

and your answer is to piss in the cornflakes?

You're right, we did beat KC handily last year.  Just not the second time.

Duh.  Obviously, we'd rather win every damn game we play.  Us losing a handful of close games (which was really more of a statistical anomaly than anything else), doesn't take anything away from the point in the OP.  On the whole, we have been absolutely dominating the majority of our opponents.
