Props to both rookie corners

Both of them with fearless and intelligent outings tonight.

The Bills are going ot be relying heavily on these two kids and they both look like they belong already.

Like all corners, they're going to lose a few battles, but they both know exactly what they're supposed to be doing, where they're supposed to be doing it and neither one is afraid to go get there.

loved seeing some excellent run support. Benford had a fantastic edge set on a Henry toss and Elam had a nice open field tackle (I don’t remember who).

 

Those two plays stick out because they offer more to this defense than just coverage ability. Which by the way, they both had their own PBIs that were notable.

They had about a half dozen tackles between them and probably more of them were on backs than receivers.

Bills will likely need reinforcements at CB and S, so expect to see some activity this week.

We were walloped with injuries at almost every position on defense tonight and didn't miss a beat. One positive drive given up. McDermott's culture works.

When Benford wrapped Henry up for like a 5 yard loss, I was super impressed. It was a wow moment for me.

They both played tremendous games. Hard to believe one of them will be our 5th corner when the gang is all healthy.

That seam that got ran against Elam where he was committed too far under was brutal for him.  The titans tried to come back to it but couldn't. 

 

I know this is a corner thread but Edmunds is helping out these young CBs by holding the middle.

The kids are playing good ball. Not sure they can get any greater challenge then they will against Hill & Waddle next Sunday.

They're getting great experience. If Tre & Dane both get back healthy, we'll have a very deep and talented secondary.

Fine. I'll mention Taron Johnson playing extremely well which let's our LB's cover the QB. This gives the CBs matchups against the players and zones they need to succeed with our duo of WRs splitting cover 2.

 

A double layer cover 2 shell for the laymen. We have poyer and Hyde over top. Milano and Edmunds underneath

 

Then you have Johnson out there covering the heavy.

 

We could not run tbis without two good coverage LBs, specifically Edmunds on the strong side with Johnson.
