I would imagine his neck is going to be pretty sore and wouldn’t count on him playing this week out of precaution. Gotta keep our eyes on the bigger prize at the end of the season. 2 Quote

I would think that is different than cleared to practice/play. You mentioned spinal swelling. I'm pretty sure that if he still had spinal swelling, he wouldn't be going home. 3 Quote

Obviously he he didnt intend it. But you should not be touching another injured player period. Could have life altering consequences with neck type injuries. Even if it wasnt dirty it was still very dangerous and incredibly stupid. 3 Quote

Just like every injury, it's a case by case basis. Some sprains last a week, some last 3. Some ACL's have 5th month recovery times, some have 9. 1 1 Quote

No way I would have thought having your head pushed back violently like a pez dispenser would allow you to walk out of a hospital hours later. Strength and conditioning of the neck I guess. Quote

It was hurry up, and he was laying on the guy's legs. Obviously not intentionally looking back, but that does happen a lot when teams try to delay the ball getting snapped to run more time off. Quote

Just a heat of the moment reaction. Quote

Malice or not, it was stupid. Dane was lying there curled away from the player, not making any attempt to hold him down. He could have gotten his foot out (and probably more quickly) without throwing Dane aside like that. He knew it right away, too. Did you see Poyer shove him back, point at Dane and say something? The guy just took the shove and stood there with a dumb look on his face like "oops". I wouldn't be surprised if that little maneuver helped get the Bills that extra bit of "crunk" for the 3rd quarter, bad enough to have your brother get hauled off in an ambulance, worse if your opponent rag-dolled him while he was helpless on the ground. 13 minutes ago, cle23 said: I don't think he had any clue he was injured. I don't think he was malicious or dirty "oh the guy's injured and can't get up, lemme throw him around." But guys who are trying to delay the opponent getting up position themselves differently and act differently. Rook has to read the vibe. Edited September 20, 2022 by Beck Water Quote

Pez dispenser - that's a pretty good description - man that was scary! That he could be out of the hospital now after that is amazing - to be young and in top physical shape probably helped because I feel like that would have killed me... 1 1 Quote
