not fun but correct til cleared.  "The general recommendations for cervical immobilization are: all patients with suspected SCI should be immobilized, and patient triage on the scene should be performed by trained emergency medical personnel. HIs maintaining full use of his body is so much more important than whether he plays again this season or ever.

 

Football is a brutal game; I'd rather see him retire than risk his ability to live a complete life.

at minimum, he's feeling intense pain and quite possibly some numbness.  Full recovery would be awesome.  playing soon is doubtful imo.
