Dablitzkrieg Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Buffalo is head and shoulders better than any team in the division. I don't think you will ever see Tua do that again unless broken coverage continues. This was an anomaly 2 Quote
Motor26 Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 I hope Miami can give us a game, would make it more interesting to watch than the usual beat downs. 1 Quote

Utah John Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Most of the AFC will be a tough out. The more the other teams beat each other up, the better. Whether Miami beat Baltimore or vice versa, the important thing is that someone got an L. The only real good news is that the Bengals and Raiders are 0-2 and the Colts are collapsing. 5 hours ago, Motor26 said: I hope Miami can give us a game, would make it more interesting to watch than the usual beat downs. Miami took advantage of a Rookie D Coordinator and Ravens Secondary Youth. JA17 will do the same when he gets his hands on the Ravnes in 2 weeks. Miami has improved, but lets not over react to yesterday's MIA - BAL score just yet. Quote
GunnerBill Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 I have no issue with people wanting to pump up the Dolphins. Just so long as those same people don't disappear if the Bills beat them next week. 1 1 Quote
eball Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 What does Buffalo do better than any defense in the league? Stop the big play. What has the Ravens’ defense done the past two seasons? Get absolutely torched by competent offenses. It’s week two of overreactions, and while nobody can take away the gaudy stats Tuna and the Fish just put up, I’m not ready to say “they’ve arrived” and both of those defenses look like garbage. 1 Quote

Well I remember a 70 yard TD run by NE during the hurricane game where NE through <5X's..... Oh & Tyreek burning us in the playoffs for 66 yds(actually was a good thing getting the ball back, but with 13 seconds to much on the clock😉). Unfortunately big plays happen.... Quote
mjt328 Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 (edited) I think most of the Buffalo fanbase suffers from PTSD, from all these years of suffering and heartbreak. Can we not feel secure about our team's season, unless every other franchise in the NFL looks like complete trash? Half of this board went into a total panic mid-afternoon Sunday, under the sudden realization that one of our division rivals might win double-digit games this year. Hey everyone... It's OK if the Dolphins have a good team. It's OK if the Chiefs are still really good too. We can still win a Super Bowl if the AFC East and #1 seed isn't in the bag by Thanksgiving. Let's all try to relax and breathe. The Bills are heavy favorites to win the Super Bowl because OUR TEAM is exceptional. Not because everyone else is expected to suck. If we stay healthy, stay focused and handle our business, the Bills should still win the AFC East. Miami had 9 wins last season, and 10 wins the season before. Anyone who expected them to be a total pushover this season was in denial. They already had a strong defense. And having two weapons on the outside like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle was going to cause problems for quite a few defenses. With that said, I have watched a good chunk of both Dolphins games this year. Their offense managed 13 points in Week 1. They had 7 points at halftime yesterday and 14 points at the end of the 3rd Quarter. The Ravens defense started playing very soft when the score was 28-7, and their defensive backs barely made an effort to stop the touchdown throw to Mike Gesicki. They totally blew the coverage on the tying touchdown to Hill and he was open by about 30 yards in every direction. It was a great comeback. But let's not pretend their offense is totally unstoppable. Since Josh Allen became our QB, the Bills are 7-1 against the Dolphins. The only loss was the infamous Charles Clay endzone drop. In those wins, our offense has put up 42, 31, 37, 56, 31, 26 and 35 points. Our defensive scheme is built to stop the big play. Although it certainly won't be a given with (possibly) two rookie corners on the outside, there is no reason to be scared. They have shown zero ability to slow us down on the other side. 2 minutes ago, Billsfan1972 said: Well I remember a 70 yard TD run by NE during the hurricane game where NE through <5X's..... H2o Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 We'll see how good the depth is tonight against Tennessee. If we, even with injuries along the interior DL, still get pressure on Tannehill and find a way to contain Henry then I'm not worried about Miami. Our defense is predicated on keeping everything in front of them, which is perfect for how Tua and Miami are running their offense. If our front four terrorizes Tua the way I expect, then he'll be throwing wobblers and seeing ghosts all game long. One big game, against a defense that seemingly rolled over, is not a cause for concern in my book. Flacco had 307yds, 4 TD's, and 0 INT's against the Browns yesterday as well. Do we think his career is now revived? Until this becomes consistent, and not just a spot occurrence against a suspect defense, I'll hold my judgments. Are they better than last year though (Miami), especially on offense? Yes, and they should be because of the addition of Tyreek Hill. 1 Quote
