Why I hate Bills playing Thursday Night.....

   The only good I see about the Premier Team schedule is the Thanksgiving game. 
   Otherwise I prefer 1pm Sunday for the other 16 games. I don’t GAF what the rest of the world thinks as long as we keep racking up those Ws

I too prefer all our games to be scheduled for Sundays at 1pm since it's easier for me to get out to the Bills bar at that time.

 

However, I will absolutely take this "min-Bye week" we were gifted to start the season. 10 days between week 1 and 2 will be crucial for our deep run in the long season ahead of us. Juxtapose that with KC who just played Sunday and is already getting ready to play in 2 days on Thursday night.

 

I'll look for a link, but the schedule analysis done earlier this year showed the NFL gifted the Bills the MOST rest between opponents than any other team. Things are starting to break Buffalo's way. Now we just need to capitalize.

The Ringer has some of the best writing on the net and great Podcasts.

I always preferred Easterbrook and his TMQ column for pure entertainment and reasonable football IQ, although others have previously commented on the, shall we say, questionable nature of some of his non-football related content he chose to throw in there.

 

But agree that Simmons writing was right up there in quality, if you can look away from his clear regional biases.

If we’re gonna have the night game I prefer MNF cause I’m not in the office on Tuesdays. I am on Mondays and Fridays so I’m dragging after a TNF or Sunday night matchup 😂

For years it was very simple, the Bills Sunday @ 1:00 (unless the West Coast) and you prepared appropriately.  This year 6 games not in the traditional Sunday 1:00 or 4:00 pm slot.  We've now had 4-5 days since the Rams game and another 6 'til Tenn.....  At least afterwards we get into a nice groove of Sunday games (though an early bye wk 7).

Just listened to Bill Simmons and yes he had a warning/comment to Bills fans (and yes he is a NE fan so will be some sour grapes, but he is right)....  Act like you've been there and don't get too high (or low). 

football is really only meant to be played at 1 PM on Sunday’s.

3 things: 

1 - I miss having the home opener tailgate at Sunday. Such an awesome environment.

 

2 - I miss going fo Nashville for this game. Such an awesome time.

3 - puts a lot of people in a bad spot on Tuesday for work haha (I’m off but still!)

Roughest thing going from Thursday to Monday is how long before they practice and we get an injury report, but the extended rest is nice.

Well I prefer night games as with the time difference I can watch them at my local bar at lunchtime…and not at home at 5am
