The talk will be about the last drive and the timeouts, but 12 penalties for 106 yards are what killed the Broncos. Seattle had 7 first-downs from penalties, that's not a disciplined team. I litterally was watching the pre game shows on Sunday and (can't remember which channel) was making their superbowl picks and one of them had Denver. Also, I know I've seen people talking about Denver winning that division, which is just absolutely ludicrous, at least based on what we saw last night Quote

The first down incomplete, 2nd down run up the gut for 1.... he specialises in it. How the hell could Denver not find a better HC candidate? Hackett has been mediocre since his Syracuse days. What did he do in J-ville to warrant him a HC position? 1 Quote

Brand J Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Hackett today on a 64 yard FG vs a 4th and 5 conversion attempt: “Looking back at it, we definitely should have gone for it.” Hackett’s chance of mind I’m surprised he’d admit to this as it does nothing but rile up the fanbase and make him appear as a coach without a plan. If it was McD at the podium, you already know his answer if asked a day after the game: “respectfully, I get why you’re asking, but it doesn’t change anything, so like everything else we learn from it and move on.” 1 Quote

I don't think anyone would dispute that you shouldn't kick a missing FG kick. Quote

Billznut Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Hackett is a moron and I safely predict he will not be the Broncos coach 2 years from now. And quite possibly gone as early as next year depending how many more brain farts he has this season. Quote
Jauronimo Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 The last time Hackett had a plan it was "we're going to run CJ [Spiller] until he pukes!". CJ had like 5 carries. I don't know if the planning or the execution is the bigger problem. Hope he gets it figured out in time to at least be a speed bump for KC and San Diego. Quote

How has he not learned a GD thing in all his failures in the NFL. And wtf was Denver thinking hiring this dolt? Quote
Big Turk Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Literally shocked at how much Russell Wilson seems to be universally hated amongst his former teammates, both college and pro. He seems to be the real life Bo Callahan, which is kinda funny because he went to Wisconsin... Have not heard a single person come to his defense that played with him when all of this dirty laundry came out...even Cutler was loved by some of his teammates and defended saying he was just misunderstood. Don't hear any of the with Wilson. They seem to despise him to a man. Basically say he is a poser who is willing to do anything to get in with the coaches even if it means throwing teammates under the bus or snitching on them, is fake and only out for himself, and talks trash about his teammates to the coaches and media(trashed his OLine saying they are the reason he keeps getting hit). Also think he was a key part of the Packers success the last few years with Rogers being back to back MVP. Time will tell what happens in Denver but I do agree he could be one and done there if they don't make the playoffs because that is the minimum expectation there after going out and getting Russ Wilson. Key part? How? Did he make the coffee? Did he give Aaron a back rub? The two things we know that coordinators usually do to have a big impact on the game is construct the gameplan and call the plays and we know LaFleur did both of those. 1 Quote
