diver Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Is 7am to early? My schedule is so busy I have to squeeze it in. Not sure if my neighbors will be too happy?
Smoker2Buffalo Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 I think it's a little early. I think a little after 8 is agood time.
Tom Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 How about when the dew is gone........... shouldn't cut it wet.
Hammered a Lot Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Put lights on your mower and cut your grass at night. Just Git Er Dun! On weekends I try not to cut before 9 am during the week 7 am is ok
tmk-nj Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Good question.. I was just walking the dog (7:30EST) and saw an old guy on a loud riding mower... I was thinking it was early and thought that could cause conflict with the neighbors... I would say 8:30 - 9:00 AM would be ok. Is 7am to early? My schedule is so busy I have to squeeze it in. Not sure if my neighbors will be too happy? 336427
Ghost of BiB Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 I always like to do mine between 3 and 4 AM. I just turn up the stereo loud enough to drown out the sound of the lawnmower. Make sure you drink plenty of beer, too.
CajunBillsBacker Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 I usually cut my yard as soon as daylight hits, but that's only because it's too damn hot outside later in the day.
Corp000085 Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 no earlier than 9am for two reasons. 1) cutting the grass wet means you need ultra sharp blades, which most people do not have. 9am is a good time because most of the dew is evaporated. 2) Unless you live in a neighborhood where its normal to cut before 9, it will piss of the neighbors.
Ghost of BiB Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Cut it when you feel like cutting it. 336438 Or pave the whole thing.
kegtapr Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 9 am - 9 pm has always seemed like the most respectful to me.
Ghost of BiB Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Or torch it all. 336448 Send me the grid, beer boy...we'll take care of the whole neighborhood. How you been?
R. Rich Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Send me the grid, beer boy...we'll take care of the whole neighborhood. How you been? 336450 Can't complain. Really, I'm not allowed to. Check your PM's.
diver Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 I like the beer drinking image with some Led Zep on the boom box. What the heck its the weekend!!!!
Nanker Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 You can cut your neighbors grass whenever he isn't looking.

Neighbors love that.
KD in CA Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Anything before 9 makes you an a-hole neighbor. People with little kids who are always up early tend to forget that not keeps the same kind of hours.

A lot of towns have 10-10 residential restrictions. If I remember right, Orchard Park had that.. -Jeff
