MJS Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 So crazy that Allen STILL has idiots out there saying this kind of stuff about him. Â They just can't accept that they were wrong about him. 3 5 1 1 Quote
GoBills808 Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 got to be out of context  That guy has been very complimentary of Allen for a while now 1 3 Quote
DCbillsfan Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 (edited) What an idiot. Allen has played at a high level for 2 years plus Thursday night and this kind of garbage is still being spewed. Edited September 10, 2022 by DCbillsfan 1 Quote

He's actually trying to praise Allen, but the whole segment was just strange and awkward. He was trying to say that Allen using the short game to setup the deep passes was a new element to Allen's game. 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 Could also just be this. Â Â These shows love to do this back and forth format even when it's stupid. 5 Quote

Pasaluki Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 Lol I think that take needs work. It probably made more sense in his head but at the same time uh what? Quote

Pasaluki Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 What's weird is negative takes on Josh Allen don't even bother me anymore. He will have bad games but he is the bringer of despair for the opposing team.  As Rich Eisen says "Josh Allen is coming for your soul." 4 1 Quote

He was trying to say that Allen using the short game to setup the deep passes was a new element to Allen's game. He is speaking about an elite, top 3 player in the NFL, and a generational QB. And he is operating under the assumption that Allen has not already been a cerebral QB who reads defenses, sets up defenders, etc. It's a load of bull crap. Allen is elite in all aspects and has been for awhile. Â Yes, he is getting even better, but Allen didn't have some epiphany about such a fundamental aspect of quarterbacking. It's pretty disrespectful and shows that these people don't know what they are talking about. They view Allen as a physical freak, but they are just now learning about how smart he is and how cerebral he is as a QB. So they spout this nonsense about him just now learning about how to set up a deep pass. 3 2 Quote
Gunsgoodtime Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 I watched this live somehow, I never watch ESPN. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and to think that guy gets paid to do that. Wow. Quote
Bills2022 Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 ESPN targets certain demographics. These viewers are not exactly the most productive members of society. 😄  2 1 Quote
