I still don’t know how likely it is that they get a long term deal done with Poyer (especially if he’s looking for $15-16+M a year) but at least this should keep him happy for the season. I hope both sides are able to come to a deal that works for everyone. I’d love for Poyer to be here for years to come. Quote

That said, I still don’t think we should re-sign him and save the money to get younger and for other signings like Oliver and even maybe Edmunds. Can’t have it all and we don’t need to waste cap space on a very good player but at a replaceable position. Quote
