Big Turk Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 (edited) The way Davis catches the ball is just so...awesome. I don't really know how else to even say it or describe it. I'm not sure I have ever been enamored with the way a WR catches the ball like I have with the way Davis does it...it even LOOKS amazing. It's like he vacuums the ball into his hands...perfect hand catches almost every time. Coaches could literally take clips of him catching the ball and use it in training sessions on how to catch the football properly. And it isn't just the Rams game, its been time after time, game after game...his hands are just unreal in terms of catching the ball away from his body with them. I don't know if others appreciate this nuance of his game, but to me, this is a masterclass of catching the ball properly at the highest possible level. I'm hard pressed to even think of another player who I have ever seen do it with such consistency as he does. Edited September 9, 2022 by Big Turk 10 4 3 1 Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Yes, because I love touchdowns. 1 1 Quote
skibum Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 I have definitely noticed the same thing. It really stood out in the KC game, and I have also seen Diggs do the same thing once in a while. I wonder if Gabe learned it from Diggs and just rolled with it. Whatever the case may be, the guy has some of the surest hands I've ever seen. Quote
BillsShredder83 Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Hes strong to the ball, reminds me of Mike Evans 4 1 2 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 He definitely catches it differently than I’m use to seeing. Whatever works. Quote
716er Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 He’s gone from a toe tapping boundary receiver to a guy who can make every play asked of him. Dominant. He is going to get paid big time. 2 1 1 Quote

zow2 Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Yes, hands catches. It's great to see. The excellent WRs don't usually need the ball to come in to their body to catch it. Gabe is exceptionally good at this. 1 Quote

Warcodered Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Only thing that worries me is sometimes he catches it in the endzone and tosses it so quick afterwards I worry they'll think it's incomplete. So far so good though. 1 1 3 Quote

Royale with Cheese Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Yes. He has his hands out front and uses purely his hands...its textbook. Quote
RocCityRoller Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Gabe reminds me of Eric Moulds and the way he attacked and plucked the ball out of the air. Moulds was a special WR with terrible teams and QBs. He would be a terror on this offense. Gabe Davis is doing a good job of being that next guy. One of my favorite Bills. 2 Quote
