Doc Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Nope. Once he gets up to speed, I’m betting he’ll become one of the best CB’s in the NFL. 1 Quote
Joe Ferguson forever Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Benford's performance should be looked at independently. Elam didn't play as well but that has a lot to do with how good Benford was. Corners are highly prized. If one of them turns out great (or very good) and the other ok, regardless of which is which, then we did well. 2 3 1 Quote
Trey Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 No, I think it is awesome how these two have both played through the preseason and this first game. I'm excited for what both of them will bring over the next several years. 2 Quote

ChronicAndKnuckles Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 (edited) Honestly, I am more concerned about Cook. 1st NFL carry and he fumbled. I thought he would be featured a lot more, but threw himself in the dog house immediately which is not good in his case. We all know how McD feels about fumble issues. Not sure that's a great endorsement but we'll see. 1 Quote

It must have been given sarcastically based upon your posts. 🤦♂️ Did you know that Einstein was often mocked early on because people found his thoughts and theories to be inane? It turned out that his theories were correct, of course, but the lesser intellectually gifted couldn’t interpret it until much time had passed. 5 1 1 4 Quote

Meh I'm not concerned about any of the rookies. As everyone predicted before the draft it would have been very difficult for any rookie at any position to come in and make a big impact on this roster. Every position already has well established good to great starters. The draft was really just the Bills loading up on their already insane depth. 1 Quote
JaBu Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 (edited) Elam's strength is playing press, he is still learning how to "effectively" play zone. Benford's strong suit is zone and as Collingsworth said, the Bills played zone all night. Thus Benford was the best choice to play in tonight's game plan. I'm confident they can coach Elam up to speed as he gains more experience. He has all the physical tools to excel. Edited September 9, 2022 by JaBu 1 1 1 Quote
Bubba Gump Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 He looked fine in his limited playing time. And Benford looking as good as he does is just an added bonus. The more, the better. 2 1 Quote

God your threads are trash. You think you know what you’re looking at but you don’t. 2 1 Quote
iccrewman112 Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 (edited) I am not worried, especially because Elam was engaged when on the field. Willing tackler and rallying to the ball. All good traits. Edited September 9, 2022 by iccrewman112 1 Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 No. Watch the TD to Kupp. Elam recognizes the zone, passes Kupp to Poyer, then proceeds to cover the WR in the flat. Pro move. Not his fault that Kupp did Poyer dry. Quote
