transplantbillsfan Posted December 18, 2022 Author Posted December 18, 2022 Sorry just getting back into my own thread... but how in the heck do you NOT view Josh Allen as one of the NFL MVP frontrunners at this point? 1 5 1 Quote

His ypc increased again and is now at a career high level after this game as well. He's got to be back at the front of the discussion there's nobody like him. Josh +2000 will be gone after tonight. If he can finish strong he's still got an outside chance. Quote

We all know he completely carries the #2 offense in the league, with one of the toughest strength of schedules. But the people who vote on this just look at box scores and Hurts will have the efficiency stats as long as he doesn't have any stinker games. Hurts is asked to do a fraction of what Allen is asked to do, but that doesn't really matter. nah that ain’t it. He had the fumble but Allen doing his job and receivers letting him down dropping the ball was still more consequential than that. Allen and Diggs are dragging these replacement-level guys to the playoffs. 1 1 Quote

But good Lord it's not sustainable in the playoffs if these other guys don't stop dropping passes. 3 Quote

I cannot stress enough how bad Greg van roten and Bobby Hart are. Morse went down right as Jevon holland was returning which led to a rough quarter…what a gutsy win 1 hour ago, LABILLBACKER said: Josh +2000 will be gone after tonight. He’s undoubtedly the mvp if you properly account for the situation the players are in imo. The chiefs and eagles have great offensive lines 1 1 Quote
thenorthremembers Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 100% agree with what Mike Rob said after the game. Take Josh Allen off the Bills and they aren't winning games. Take Jalen Hurts off the Eagles and they are probably still good. He didn't say it but I will. Mahomes is likely the best QB in football but Andy Reid's offense was very good before Mahomes. Meanwhile Allen is earning guys like Daboll and perhaps Dorsey job opportunities. 6 Quote
JoPoy88 Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 If the Bills hold serve and ride this out and get the 1 seed Allen is the MVP. 5 Quote

DapperCam Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Don't look now, but Hurts has 2 picks today already Quote

UKBillFan Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Peter King on Sky Sports coverage speaking about the MVP, as he has a vote, said that he can easily make a case for Mahomes, Hurts and Josh. Mind you, he did also mention Cousins after yesterday! Quote
ghostwriter Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 I love Allen, this franchise is so lucky to have him. Quote
Big Turk Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Allen has tied Marino's record. The next TD Allen has will break the record. Quote
JerseyBills Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Idc about anything but a SB but its be awesome for him to get his first of many MVPs and after a bad performance by Mahomes again and Hurts , his odds skyrocketed after a great gm. I was so close to putting 65 to win 1000 on him winning MVP prior to Saturday too Quote
QCity Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Jalen Hurts -150 Patrick Mahomes +155 Josh Allen +1000 Joe Burrow +1000 Justin Jefferson +10000 Tua Tagovailoa +12000 Tyreek Hill +18000 Justin Herbert +20000 Kirk Cousins +22000 Dak Prescott +23000 There's 4 players left in contention. Allen still a longshot. It will take multiple bad games by both Hurts and Mahomes for him to have a shot. Quote

Average would do if Allen replicated his performance last night 3 more times. If Allen plays lights out to end the year, he should win the MVP regardless of how Mahomes and Hurts play, even though I understand that's not realistic. Quote
