Josh had his 7th 3 TD passing and 1 TD rushing game of his career which sounds somewhat impressive until you realize that puts him 3rd place all time behind Brady with 8 and Brees with 9 … crazy

Yep.  3rd behind guys that played 20yrs.

Allen is in year 5.

Love seeing guys like Monson do a complete 180 on Allen over the last few years

I've seen these done for other QB's too. You can do this after a QB has a big game and it seems like some crazy feat each time, yet happens many times in the same NFL season...

Why are you trying so hard?

Hey, lets make up a new one of these after every game! It will never get old will it?

I'd like the next one to include "while a high percentage of Bills fans were taking a crap".

Seriously, what is your motive here besides going absolutely out of your way to be a wet blanket?

I’d take Josh over Aaron Rodgers a thousand times out of a thousand.

What I loved: when adversity hit, couple bad luck interceptions and his backs fumbling, Josh just focused harder and kept trucking. Like Mike Tyson said, everybody has a plan until you get hit in the mouth. Josh got hit and stayed true to his plan.

Dominant game despite 2 interceptions, 1 of which wasn't his fault. Entire 1st half I was honestly wondering why Buffalo wouldn't take any shots downfield. Then we took 2 in the 2nd half and connected on both.

Can't complain about that.

blah blah

NO MVP QB of the league has WON a super bowl

EVER

Keep chasing an honor he doesn’t need.

So yeah keep over compensating for your initial criticism of Josh Allen

Huh?

Many league MVPs have gone on to  win Super Bowls.

Oops I somehow forgot the QB

MVP of the League. Not

The only QB that was close was Montana when he won OFFENSIVE player MVP

Multiple people have stated as much in the past few days

Bills fans should want MVP of the SB

How quickly things change with Josh.  I remember early in his career week 1 vs. the Jets he throws a perfect pass to Beasley (about 5 yards) who can't hold it, pops up and is returned for a TD and pages of posts as to whether it was a good throw or if this was a symptom of Allen not being accurate and no finesse as it was thrown too hard.

Fast forward to last night and Mackenzie not holding a similar pass and it popping out and the defender getting an int.  Now (and rightly so) it was 100% Mackenzie's fault.

Time have certainly changed.....😉

But the MVP of the Super Bowl doesn't necessarily win it :)

He throws too many picks to get league MVP. He would need a 50 TD 5000 yard season to get it.

So just under 3 touchdowns per game, and just under 300 yards per game.

I don't see any reason why he can't accomplish that.

Our multiple primetime games is going to help in an MVP bid.  Voters will be looking beyond just pure stats.

Yes, he threw two picks last night.  But everyone realizes the first wasn't close to his fault, and the second was pretty much his only bad throw the entire night.  The rest of the game he was absolutely unstoppable.

So I need to understand something...

Favre and Warner were MVPs in 1996 and 1999.  And both won super bowls that season.   What am I missing here ?

When I Googled this yesterday

that was the answer that I got

GMFB and the NFLN both made note of the MVP curse

Aaron Rodgers' Playoff Loss Means NFL MVP Curse (Likely) Lives On For Another Year

But thanks for asking

Got it.   It's a curse going back to 1999.

Josh was amazing. And it was a hugely important game to get off to a good start (be 1-0) and completely bury the stench of Kansas City.   That being said, we all know JA loves contact, but he simply has to scale it back during the regular season for self-preservation reasons.

If he has to take off on unscripted runs, slide or get out of bounds.  It's a time tested way to avoid injuries.

Just saying, he ends up with many more INT's than say, Rodgers. Allen would need to blow away the competition in other stat categories.

Rodgers worst quality is his unwillingness to take chances, and make plays. The guy doesn’t have comeback wins because he plays it too safe. Not to mention his smugness. I’ll take the guy who is all about winning over the guy who just wants to look good while thinking he’s better than everyone else.

Screw award chasers. I’ll take Josh!

Since they started these Thursday NFL season opening games with the Super Bowl winner hosting no challenger has blown out the defending Super Bowl champion like the Buffalo Bills did yesterday.

Just because you don't think it can happen (or don't want it to... ?) doesn't mean it can't.

Also, do you just say stuff expecting people to believe what you say is true?

Brett Favre

Steve Young

Joe Montana

Kurt Warner

All were QBs who won the NFL MVP AND the Super Bowl

Do you enjoy talking out of your butt?  Lemme guess... now you'll try to pivot and say you meant something else... ?
