Malazan Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Too much missing info, but I think if the choice is "risky" for the Titans or "not 100%" then I hold him out for the Dolphins. This is not the Titans of the last couple years who "play down to their opponent". They are not as good of a team. Quote
Doc Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Having Jordan Phillips back and playing as well has he did in game 1 takes the sting out of Ed missing the Titans game. They just need to make sure Settle plays to keep that rotation fresh(er) and probably have Boogie play some inside as well. 1 Quote

BubbaT Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 (edited) Hoping Settle is good to go if Ed isn’t. He missed practice today as well and had the same calf injury in pre season. This is not the team to be down 2DTs against. Edited September 15, 2022 by BubbaT 1 1 Quote
Rampage Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Better to have him 100% next week than potentially have this thing linger throughout the entire season. There will be a lot more football left to be played after Tennessee. 2 Quote

Mikie's Bills Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Worst case scenario if both Oliver and Settle are out, call up Bryant, Shaq dresses. Boogie/Shaq play DT on passing downs. Not ideal vs this team but if we're as good as we think then should still be able to pull out a win. 4 Quote

Also, if we can put up some points that would lessen the need for TN to run and would do us a world of good. I know it's cliche, but our offense could basically be our defense by TN needing to throw instead of run. Quote

Shaq is likely dressing anyway as an exceptional edge setter and run defender with Derrick Henry coming up...likely will see AJE sitting out. 1 Quote

Yea if Ed is down but Settle is up then the obvious play is just to go with 3 primary DTs, activate Shaq and play Boogie inside at 3T just enough to keep guys fresh. I think the question is though if both are down. Then you obviously need to use one of your free activations for Brandin Bryant but you might need to activate Prince Emili too. Because I think if you only have two of your top 4 DTs you probably want guys who are at least specialist DTs to spell them. Then your question is what do you do at DE... because I think you might want Shaq up for this game in any event as a premier run defender. 1 Quote

Looks as if he's taped up, so that would be effecting his gait. He's not in a boot and he's out there on his feet moving around, so he's probably not that far off. Guessing he'll be a gametime decision on Monday, and he'll definitely be ready to roll week 3 in Miami. 1 Quote

He was there with them but then walked off the left I think. Any word on whether he got involved at all today? If one is out I am very relaxed. If both are out I get fidgety. 2 Quote
