London (CNN) Queen Elizabeth II's doctors "are concerned" for her health and have recommend that the monarch remain under medical supervision, Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Thursday.

 

This is a breaking story and will be updated.

 

UPDATE: She died at Balmoral Palace in Scotland.

"Head of Govt".... it's just a ceremonial position, isn't it? It's the lamest thing that people in the US even follow this.

Technically the monarch has a final

say on some things but it’s all pretty ceremonial. A bit like the point after TD before it was moved back.

 

I suspect she’s already died and they’re just getting everything in order before an announcement this evening.
