Draconator Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 (edited) This strikes me as ominous. Doesn't sound good. https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/08/uk/queen-health-supervision-gbr-intl/index.html London (CNN) Queen Elizabeth II's doctors "are concerned" for her health and have recommend that the monarch remain under medical supervision, Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Thursday. This is a breaking story and will be updated. UPDATE: She died at Balmoral Palace in Scotland. BBC announcing her death Edited September 8, 2022 by Draconator Quote
Just Jack Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Well, next would be Charles, so it would be a King not a Queen, unless you know something about him no one else does. 1 Quote

Shamrock Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 The Republican movement here in Oz will kick of not long after his Coronation. Would likely be defeated if it was his son and daughter in law whom were ascending. Price you pay with un-elected Head of Govt. Quote

It's the lamest thing that people in the US even follow this. 1 1 Quote

Technically the monarch has a final say on some things but it’s all pretty ceremonial. A bit like the point after TD before it was moved back. I suspect she’s already died and they’re just getting everything in order before an announcement this evening. Quote
