Royale with Cheese Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 I'm starting to get mine now. I watched a couple of the hype videos, watched the GMFB and other sports shows....I'm feeling it now. For the regular season games that aren't "big games"...I don't get it until like an hour before the game. Big games like this, playoff games or prime time games....I start getting getting them the morning of. This one, probably because of the hype...2 days before. I'm doing the bare minimum at work today. Just enough not to get noticed that I'm doing nothing. 5 1 1 Quote

wjag Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 I've been amped up all week. I go back and forth thinking they'll crush them to they'll get crushed. Helluva way to start the season. In the end, I reason if the new vaunted pass rush can cover the rooks in the secondary, they'll be alright. But this has KC-BUF big-game type vibes with me.. I am looking forward to a stress-free Sunday of watching football afterwards. So many good games this week. 3 Quote
The Wiz Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 (edited) I've had it all week. Always do the 1st game in the season. I think all the hype has made it worse this year but I'm still trying to keep my cool. Edited September 6, 2022 by The Wiz 1 2 Quote
Rampage Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 There’s no anxiety because I can’t control the outcome so if we lose it has nothing to do with me. Excitement though has set in. Been waiting months for this and to finally forget the last 13 seconds in Kansas City. 4 1 Quote
muppy Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 absolutely. Don't sleep well before big games. And I have the trusty xanax drip on standby if need be................and it was needed last season yes indeedy. lol 1 Quote

Steptide Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 About 15 mins before kickoff. I actually anticipated it this year being on the Thursday night opener, so I took Friday off. If we win, I won't be able to sleep from excitement, if we lose, I won't be able to sleep from dissapontment. A few of those primetime games on Monday night last season, I didn't take off the next day, and I paid for it 😂 2 3 1 Quote

Before the start of regular season I’m like a kid before Christmas, I can hardly sleep (fortunately I’m on the west coast). I’m like that every year for the start of the season. But for big games, I usually get excited a couple days before and playoffs, I’m excited the whole week before. Thursday can’t get here soon enough! Quote
stevewin Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 The combination of anticipatiation for both the opening game and the stadium renderings has me all freaked out 1 2 Quote
Bruffalo Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Unless somebody forgot to tell me I don't think I'm playing. I get very little anxiety. I get excited for the games, but not anxious. 2 3 Quote
Dan Darragh Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 I've already got it, it started days ago 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Good topic. To some degree it depends on the opponent. Usually begins Wednesday when I watch the preview of the game on YouTube. Oddly I get less nervous when traveling to home or away game in person than I do when I watch at home. 1 Quote

They know better. To me it’s simple; they’ll either live up to it or not. Noting to get anxious about really. Quote

H2o Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 (edited) No anxiety, just excited the Bills are back on and the games are about to count. Just hoping we don't come out flat like we did last year against Pittsburgh in the opener. Edited September 6, 2022 by H2o 3 Quote
Virgil Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 This thread is why I’m on this board. It makes me feel less crazy for being anxious about the game. I already have my “at least it was a NFC team” excuse ready to go 2 1 6 1 Quote
Greg S Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 I know its the first game of the year so this game always gets hyped every year. I don't know if I would call an interconference matchup a big game. To me the Pats, Dolphins and Jets games are the biggest games of the year for the obvious reason. Anyway psyched for Thursday night. Hopefully they start off 1-0 unlike last season. Quote
