Have you ever listened to Sabotage? Probably Ozzy's finest vocals ever... it's on youtube.

One of my two favorite Sabbath albums. The best they did with Ozzy!!!

vocals, lyrics, production, Tony’s phrasing🤘💪😍.

Yeah, the classic rock stations just play the same ***** over and over. Finding a station with deep cuts is better or a college station. We have 88.5 here and they are pretty diverse.

The last Great Sabbath Lp... with no hits lol.

I don’t understand the need for any halftime music show ever, that’s piss-break time.

I'm with you on that.

If they need music, I'm sure there's a good college marching band around somewhere.

I paid all that money and have to sit through 100 year-old Ozzy. I’d much prefer that weird Creed halftime.

I’m a musician and grew up in the era of ‘classic rock’, but can we please just move on? Enough already with these 70-something relic rock acts and this worn out 70’s music. If I never hear Hotel California or More Than a Feeling again I’m fine with it.

You mean like this..  Just saw this one the other day and laughed my ars off.  It’s not witchy woman, but hey.

Do they stop selling beer at half time for night games? If so:  No More Beers!

No that’s just for disproportionate amt of drunks in Buffalo.  Just kidding.

Agree with both of these posts. But if we must have a halftime music show I'll take my chances with way-over-the-hill Ozzy over a lot of other choices.

LAMP time - good marching bands aren't confined to college. If you have 10 minutes to kill check this out from a few years ago. Doobies, The Who, Turtles and ELP:

I am a pretty smart guy but I am music dumb.  I know what I like and I have high standards but can't explain why.  There is this guy, Rick Beato, who has a Youtube channel that features music of this era.  He is about our age and is from Fairport which means it's likely members here at TBD have some personal connection to him.  He dissects great music down to it's elemental parts in an attempt to demonstrate what makes it great.  I feel smarter after watching his material.  Here is an example:

What makes this song great

Not much of what I hear today measures up.

How about Creed Bratton of the Grass Roots and The Office?

Ozzy loves to perform live, dare I say it's what he lives for. He'll perform well, much like Mick does after all these years. He'll perform well, he'll be surrounded by uber talented musicians, he'll play the melody of his classics, it'll be worth a watch.  🤘

I saw Ozzy and Crew @ the Aud around 87' or 88', so it's been a while.

yeah, like that. My wife (Luther Vandross  nut) absolutely hates that song for some reason. I’ve performed it in the past, but since Covid, it’s getting harder to hit those notes at ‘don’t your feet get cold on the wintertime’ section.

Part of my distain for The Eagles is that I think Henley is a total dick. He’s got guitarist Don Felder to thank for putting million$ in his bank account. It was Felder who created the iconic chord sequence and guitar solos for their biggest hit, Hotel California. Eventually, Felder and co-dick Glenn Frey fired him.

He's still alive?

So is Keith Richard's

That's the one that always shocks me when we lost so many others sooner like David Bowie and Tom Petty

Old-school Sabbath will always be on my shuffle.

Love Ozzy but I wonder what he really has left in the tank...

That being said ***** Yeah Ozzy!!!!!

They took their sound from Poco.

Buddy of mine works security at Amalie arena here in Tampa. The eagles were playing and he said they were all instructed to never look any of the members in the eye if they were walking past them. That is pretty dickish.

Both bass players were from Poco, the Eagles farm team basically. The countrified California rock of the early 70’ was evolving with Grateful Dead, Jackson Brown, Stone Canyon Band (Rick Nelson), Nesmith’s First National Band, Linda Ronstadt, and Poco among others. The Eagles early recording were the most successful of that group.
Man, we’re getting way off track here, but anyway, I can do without these acts who had hits 50 years ago and whose voices are shot but now charge $300 at live shows so we can bask in their history.  The Eagles, Skynyrd (and others) are effectively tribute bands since each has only one remaining member from the days of their early success.
I’m eagerly anticipating the rematch of the surviving members of the 90s Bills and 90s Cowboys. That would be right up there with watching and listening to Ozzy.
