ROSCOE P. COE TRAIN Posted May 15, 2005 Author Posted May 15, 2005 saranac is nasty. too hoppy for me.
Boatdrinks Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 This one is EASY.... CARIB The beer of the Caribbean! Of course, looking out over brilliant turquoise water may have an influence on the taste. But you can't beat an ice cold Carib and Buffett on the Ipod!
flomoe Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Red Stripe is another good one. It's my favorite bottled beer. I still have to stick with Stella Artois as my favorite beer though, but only on draft, bottled Stella just doesn't have the same quality and taste as it does on draft.
Surfmeister Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Hoegaarden White. It's pronounced Who-garden. Try some today !
Surfmeister Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Hoegaarden if I can afford it but usually Blue 335618 I like Hoegaarden or Blanc de Chambly. Both Wit beers.
ROSCOE P. COE TRAIN Posted May 15, 2005 Author Posted May 15, 2005 yeah, stella is excellent. i concur. the belgians are terrific beer makers. why is this? research needed... where are the board scientists... N.Y. Orangeman Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 It's all about the Stella Artois.... 336367 Couldn't agree more.. Pabst is a great beer for right after you've cut the lawn, raked the lawn, been forced to help one of your in-laws move...
N.Y. Orangeman Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 saranac is nasty. too hoppy for me. 336701 Agree. That being said, the Matts brewery in Utica makes the best root beer. Absolutely terrific.
Bill from NYC Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 1) Spaten (Traditional) 2) Pilsner Urquell 3) Corona Light 4) Corona Not that I can consistently afford this stuff.

There are a lot of other factors, but those yeast strains are the biggest difference maker. Belgium is the disneyland of the beer world.
ROSCOE P. COE TRAIN Posted May 15, 2005 Author Posted May 15, 2005 ha. lol. move in with the in-laws? yikes. pabst is indeed a man's/woman's drink. after you dig a hole, or cut down a tree, or move a pallet of rocks or get into an alley fight or get into a car accident or have an oral fight fight with your wife/ husband you pop open a cold can of pabst and reflect upon all that is good in life. the can is simply, classic and the taste - consistant. sing along, pabst loves us and we love pabst... I was in Europe recently and hit the trifecta of German beers, Czech beers and Belgium beers. Yummy!

rockpile Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 One of the very best beer gifts I ever got! woo woo woo I kept the bottles, caps, and cardboard six pack too. Good beer and a great collector's item. I love to try new beers wherever I go. Time to go have a cool one in the sun!
