Yeah, but not by much. 43.2 vs. 42.6. Last year, his avg punt was 47.0 at home, vs 44.6 and his long at home was 68 yards, vs. 59 on the road. Those are not MAJOR differences, and may be common amongst all punters home vs away, but not they are enough to think he might get a bit of an altitude boost. Statistically speaking, that is not actually true. The most accurate measurement to determine punt distance (purely from a statistical perspective) is Avg. punt distance. Other factors contribute to the net yardage stat, such as the punt coverage team may play better at home, and get to the ball quicker. All of that being said, I like Martin and will be happy if we sign him. Either way, he's got a good leg. and hopefully he is a competent holder. 1 Quote
