I thought the Bills not having a punter one week before the season opener was strange.  But then i saw Jacksonville released both place kickers on their roster yesterday.  They brought in a K today from the waiver wire.

Having a solid kicker is more important than a punter.

OK, so he can putt.  I want to know if he can drive the football deep when punting from his 5 yard line.

Because the Bills might do that once all year.

Did anybody get a fix on Sam Martin's plane yet?

I am sure he has an F16 fighter escort

With Kern saying no, who would people want next if Martin doesn't work out?

Curious why Kern said no given that he's a Grand Island native. Must have been the money?

Probably wants to stay in Nashville for family reasons. Was supposedly considering retirement

He's made a lot of money and he's played in one place for a long time. He has a life there with kids. He probably didn't want to uproot all of that, particularly knowing that the door wasn't completely closed with the Titans.

His father said today on the radio that he doesn’t want to  move his family and will simply retire unless he gets a call back from Tennessee at some point.

Checks out, I might do the same in his position

Maybe this is just our way of credibly committing to four downs of offense every drive, every game, all season.  I've always wondered what would happen if a team did that.  It worked for the Rams that one game.
