Looks like a hammy to me. Possible he could be out for a couple of weeks, we'll see.

If the hammy were injured would they stretch it out like that?  To my eye it looks like cramping.

It's debatable. Some feel it's good to do light stretching after the injury (not if it's too painful). Others say to rest it before stretching it out later.

A pulled muscle generally speaking you don't want to stretch.

 

In fact you want to do the opposite.

 

you would want to strengthen then tendon
