wppete Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Shaq has to be the most impressive player this preseason. He’s the Shaq we all remember with a massive chip on his shoulder and has been wrecking havoc... Khalil Shakir is a close second with his precision routes, toughness and yards after contact. The rookie CBs gave also been impressive. Who else do you got? 1 1 Quote
CNYfan Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Just last night Duke Johnson looked very good. Better than Cook. The entire OLine was very bad except for Alec Andreson (PS) and S. Brown. Morris was good. Shakir was good. Elam was good, Bernard was bad. Benford was a work in progress. Shaq was good. Boogie not so much. 2 Quote
Draconator Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Shakir is my top player in the pre-season. The rookie DB's also impressed. Josh for only playing 6 plays made me comfortable that he'll be spot on for the opener. The whole 1st team did. 4 1 Quote
MJS Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Elam and Benford both showed flashes of excellence, in my opinion. Quote
Solomon Grundy Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Blackshear has to be on the list 2 4 1 Quote
Forlorn hope Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Tenuta impressed and improved over each preseason game. He looks ahead of where Doyle was last year. I think he makes it 1 3 1 Quote

Big Blitz Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Johnson Elam Benford Moss Shakir Giles-Harris Blackshear Quote
Rc2catch Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 I’m gonna go with Shakir as well. Receiving and the ability to return kicks if needed. I feel a lot more comfortable if he has to play meaningful snaps early in the season. Plus he’s wearing #10 and I’m still a big Robert woods fan (even though he didn’t wear 10 after he left) Quote
DallasMac Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Brandin Bryant seemed to stick out a bunch when watching. Played extremely well and I won't be the least bit surprised when he is picked up by another team. 4 2 Quote
NickelCity Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 I'm ready to give Shakir the punt return duties right now. And I can't wait to see him as a WR with Josh. 1 Quote
K D Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 The punter had that 1 amazing punt. What was his name? Oh yeah...Matt Barkley 1 1 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Josh and Davis showing the KC game was just the beginning all camp long and the one brief drive stands out and hasn't been mentioned yet. But I get, its more about the lesser knows...best of the preseason has to be Shakir who really had about as good a camp and preseason you could ask for in a rookie WR. Like others have said, both young corners showed a lot of potential. I know he won't get mentioned because he got a little dinged up, but I really liked what I saw from Tim Settle early and in camp. I said it when we signed him, I think he could be one of those over under the radar moves that really pans out. I do also think Shaq, especially in this last game, really went from unlikely to make the team, to making a case to stick around. I am not sold he still does, we are just deep at DE, but his last game he was a stand out against Car starters. 1 1 Quote

LabattBlue Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Araiza. His one punt was a bomb, and all the worries about his ability to hold amounted to nothing. 😈 1 1 Quote

I think he makes it I'll bite... is this sarcasm lol. I've noticed him negatively a ton. Doyle was like Spencer Brown, super high upside athletically but raw. I believe Tenuta has one of the worst athleticism scores on our team 1 1 2 Quote

I think he makes it IMO, You must have seen a different group of games than what I saw. He is a PS squad guy at best. He had zero ability to handle the edge. I thought he was outplayed by the undrafted kid Anderson. Edited August 28, 2022 by Locomark 1 2 Quote
